Walk with me

Only missed two days in the last 4 months and that because of rain. Friend told me his sister lost 100 pounds by walking an hour twice a day. I do about an hour and 20 minutes a day and still dropping weight. Ring is looser.

How many months or years of walking did it take for her to lose 100 pounds?

I've been sedentary for over a week. Today, I got to walk a mile all indoors, at the airport. Tomorrow, knock on wood, I'll get up early to walk near the ocean--hope to do 5 kms.

That ocean walk sounds lovely :)

Not quite the beach, but being near the water and in the shade of palm trees makes the walk more than pleasant. Hello, Ms. Morrigu :)

It was 42f but calm for last nights walk. I just had to bundle up a bit. Did the full monty for another installment on 'good bye belly!'

It's that time again. Anyone wish to join?

wally, take a walk with me please.

It is coming early today as I want to watch some of the Colts/Patriots game and shoot some pool!

good morning wally, my sweet. i have to stop by here, you never come see me anymore. i hope all is going well with you. we'll have to put on our parkas to walk today.

it seems awfully early for this cold, doesn't it? it's supposed to warm up by the weekend though.

I actually wore long underwear and a heavy parka and ended up starting to sweat so unzipped the coat and shirt. It was 41F and I was comfortable.

It was rainy today so I cheated and walked on the treadmill. I felt good all day after walking 5 kms. It took me an hour.

I'm still at it and still losing. The treadmill counts as well!
Only missed three days since June and intend to keep going as long as the wind isn't howling and the sky isn't crying all over me.

another good bears game wally...did you watch?
I am not an avid sports fan but in my humble opinion, both teams played like cocca. The Colts game was played well from both sides, I thought.

I don't have the room for a treadmill, but I know I have dropped weight and inches in the past year of living in NYC... I walk as much as I can, getting off subway stops earlier on good weather days and when safe (not too late at night)... Kept it all off too!

Now it is costing me in the clothing department, but the health benefit far outweighs the cost!!!

Indeed it does!
I pulled out a nice pair of khakis out of the closet that I haven't worn in three years since I went to a friends wedding. They were falling off of me and I was obviously delighted! Not only that, but a favorite collared pullover as well. Can't wait to do my next installment on the pavement!

It is a great incentive, no? :D

Raising the attractiveness scale to the fairer sex has always been a goal and now at least, I am actualizing it!

That will be tomorrow evening. Does anyone care to join me? I figure I am losing at least a pound a week and that includes dietary restraint however, everybody knows or should, that I am nutritionally supported. Had a mild bout of stomach flu this afternoon but battled it off and feel fine now.
