It's getting addictive. I took a break yesterday and did an hour of yoga instead, but this morning, my sister-in-law and I walked 5kms around a park. It was early in the morning but there were a lot of people out there already. It's great to have company on the walks.MercyMia said:I've been walking regularlyIt's getting addictive. wally2450 said:I am glad to hear it Mia! I have a doctors appt. this afternoon and he is going to be delighted to see my weight loss. He is great, an MD DO. You are doing wonders for your heart and body. Yep, me still walking and I am still losing.
BP is borderline but now down to 206 vs 212 on Halloween!
A little rainy and 40f and yes I am walking in it tonight.
You got it right Mia. Keep trying! One has to make dietary changes as well and stick to it.MercyMia said:MD DO = medical doctor and doctor of osteopathy? I used to know what DO stands for but can't remember anymore.
I didn't get to do serious walking today since I had so many errands. In all, though, I walked 2.5 kms although it was stop and go all the way. Tomorrow, I will walk in the morning so I start my day off right. I can feel my legs and lungs getting stronger.I'm not losing weight the way you are, but I hope that over the holidays, I will not gain weight either.
How was your walk last night, Wally?
RUbensBeautY said:Hello,
I just wanted to congratulate you on your weight loss and the effort you are obviously putting into letting your motivation and enthusiasm spill over into other's lives as well.
My walking attempt has failed, so I've felt guilty and just lurked around on the thread, but considering the amount I keep running around during work lately, I feel confident about posting again.
Happy walking!![]()

Noor said:I only walked 5000 steps so far today. Its about 35 out here.
My walking buddy and I have Yaktrax for the ice when it comes, do you have something like that Wally? I think LLbean has a couple alternatives.

Will you walk during the winter, wally?
wally2450 said:I'm going to go pretty soon. Do I have to go by myself again?
MercyMia said:Well, you may not realize that you came with me on my 10km walk this morning![]()

How I managed to inspire myself I believe, came from a high school friends sister and pink here. If sharing helps, than I am all for it!
I just about got picked up last nite however, that isn't really what I am looking for, so I put less effort into it than I could have. I'm supposed to have a date this afternoon and one pending. Still looking for Ms. Right and we will relieve each other of our independence with glee!
I'm either going to walk soon or this afternoon but I have a guy coming over to fix a brake line on the truck so I think it will be soon. Anyone else so inspired?//
