What’s your most controversial opinion?

Anytime I hear someone use word Sportsball I assume they are an overweight video game playing freak nerd or weirdo.
Weirdo? Yes. But not a gamer of any kind (I hardly even play patience), and it depend on people if they see me as overweight. Some weirdly see me as normal.

I've done far more sports in my life than I've ever watched. I understand people doing sports, but not watching it like it was their religion.

And any motor sports or ball sports are boring.

People watching sports and coming together with their community might be as close to real religion as you can actually get. Watch a hockey match in Canada or college football game in the southern US or a futball match in Argentina or baseball in Cuba. Boring? Come on.

Come on, there's almost nothing worse than a rowdy, possibly even drunk game audience! You just made religions sound even worse than it was in my mind 🤮

To each his own. I've felt that community at sportsball games, plays, movies, concerts, and wherever people are emotionally invested.

This atheist weirdo would much rather read, listen to music, or do almost anything else than watch sportsball religion 😝

And I love my tits and ass 😉

But sports doesn't compliment the music.
Yeah, well, for some of us they actually do. I am not trying to twist anyone’s arm. I just find the whole ‘Sportsball’ cliche and hate to be pretty fucking pointless. You go get after it though.

I played sportsball - got my name in the paper for bowling, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, track, indoor track, indoor soccer, and lacrosse. I love sports. BUT I've been know to turn off NASCAR and IndyCar, I find F1 boring, and I've taken books to read to NASCAR races and MLB games.

I think sports, especially American football, is the official-unofficial religion in this country, more so than than Euro football/kick grass leagues. I find DraftKings and FanDuel "drug dealers!"

It stems from sportsball being showed down our throats so much. I didn't realise, for example, before moving in with my late husband, that I'd end up being a hockey widow a few weeks every year. I lost 6-0 to that damn sportsbal every year. I bet that if the games had begun before my birthday, I would have celebrated it alone - every year.

I hate the sound of sportsball games in TV, it prevents me from relaxing, and I can't afford living in big enough spacse that I could escape it. Motor sports is even worse, formula noices put my nervous system close to panic mode.

Sounds like you have some problems beyond sports in your life.

No hate from me at all. It’s not my jam, but I fully support others others finding things that bring them joy.

It’s just a great topic to joke about. To be fair, I will joke about almost anything though 😂

by the amount of sexual assaults still occurring…. It makes me think that most men would prefer to live in a place like Gilead where they would have the freedom to do the things they want to women without judgement.

They fight for legislative control over women’s bodies. Women’s rights vary state by state, but men’s don’t? There is a core in this country who most certainly wants Gilead (although, they likely see themselves in positions of power and privilege and will still be able to do whatever they want).

Are you watching The Handmaid’s Tale? I’m so here for the revolution! The only thing wrong with the last episode is that it needed to be twice as long and with a stabbing montage.

Yes!!!!

Omg yes.

I said yesterday that I’ve never wanted Tv characters to die so badly in my life.

Junes speech to aunt Lydia … fucking chefs kiss.

I never watched the show, but I read the original novel - and the idea behind it is the thinking found precisely in the USA after all. Just a few decades ago.

SAME! I was watching on the edge of my seat! I also LOVED Janine’s softly spoken “thanks.” That girl needs a win and I desperately want her reunited with her daughter.

I’m hoping Naomi doesn’t survive. Was thrilled about Bell. I go so back and forth on Nick, but I do want him to survive.

June’s speech - ❤️❤️❤️

I reread the novel after watching the first season of the show. And then I read The Testaments as soon as it came out. Highly recommend it, too!
