What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

160.560 MHz - CSX Railroad frequency. The Jacksonville dispatcher is talking to a freight train whose crew ran out of time (US Law only allows a train crew to work 12 hours) and the dispatcher is relaying the "Dog Catcher" info to them. To a railroad a "Dog Catcher" is a driver who brings out a replacement crew and takes the other crew home. The law that limits their hours of service is nicknamed the "Dog Law."

Jeff Beck - You Had it Coming (2000)

with Imogen Heap

From a review: "proving the point Beck made long ago about his ability to pull off heavy metal ("I sometimes play it when I practice, just to remind myself that I can, and that I can do it much more EVIL than the other guys that are doing it").

This one seems really cute as Regional Mexican singer Christian Nodal and Spain Actress Belinda were a couple back in 2020 - which broke off when she started demanding money from him to fund her mother's lifestyle earlier this year...

So here's another song from Nodal also from 2020 - this one came out the same day the Pandemic put us all in lockdown where I live:

This one's way outside my listening preferences but Youtube threw it at me when I had my playlist on random Latin American hits and I thought it was cute enough to save into my playlist:

I have no idea who these kids are...

Right now, I'm listening to nothing, nothing at all. My cat swiped her paw and pulled out my headphones and the speaker cables. She's looking quite pleased with herself. Mommy (that being me) just shot her with a water pistol; now who the fuck is laughing, bitch?

I'm outta here for about a month or so - taking off on an extended vacation tomorrow, with minimal Interweb access. Long cruise for my wife and me to celebrate our 40th anniversary, followed by some mountaineering in the Cascades.

Be good. Or, at least, be good at it :)
Back - after almost a month away.

Luca Turilli : Demonheart

Luca Turilli is the guitarist for Rhapsody / Rhapsody Of Fire ... and he delivers exactly what you'd expect. (A little power metal bombast every now and again won't hurt anyone LOL)

Hey, @litfan10 - I hope all is well!
@Blind_Justice - tracking your recommendations in the last few pages, and will research them when (okay, if) time permits.

Noon salad and coffee break. Genesis follow you follow me, Carly Simon Your so Vain, Dion Abraham, Martin, and John, Michael Jackson Beat It, Eric Clapton Wonderful Tonight, Paula Cole I Don't Want to Wait (me either), Chicago Just You and Me, and speaking of Paper Lace The Night Chicago Died. A historical note by one of the songwriters, "When we wrote about Al Capone fighting the 'forces of the law' - I really don't think that ever happened; apparently, the cops were nearly all on Capone's payroll."

Jethro Tull : The Zealot Gene

It never quite works when great bands try to recapture the magic several decades after their zenith :(
