What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Thank you for introducing me to this band that I didn't know, and am now YTing the heck out.
Yea, they've kinda flown under the radar but have a solid following in the UK. She's not just a looker but has a great range of voice and the rest of the band are lovely. Good honest attitudes not ego trippers

I saw a fair few comments that say their music is reminiscent of the (alternative rock) of the nineties and I can hear where they're coming from. And since that was a part of my formative period in terms of music taste...
(I'm listening to/watching the full Blue Weekend album/film ATM).

These phone numbers are the top seven songs ranked by Billboard, with phone numbers in the title or are the complete title.

"1-800-273-8255," Logic feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid, 2017; #3 (to date)

"867-5309/Jenny," Tommy Tutone, 1982; #4

"634-5789 (Soulsville, U.S.A.)," Wilson Pickett, 1966; #13

"Beechwood 4-5789," The Marvelettes, 1962; #17

"853-5937," Squeeze, 1988; #32

"911," Wyclef Jean feat. Mary J. Blige, 2000; #38

"777-9311," The Time, 1982; #88

There are littlerly a dozen or more songs with phone numbers in the title, and even more with phone numbers in the songs. I'm not sure how you cover them anymore. AC DC had a hit in Australia in the 70s called 362 436, which in America was mistaken for 362 4368 because of the word "Hay" right after the 6. yeah, I had a hard with the hay being an eight too.

I blame BiscuitHammer for his bardic inspiration scene in the delightful Tale of Amberley Bloodstar.

I found Wolf Alice when their track "She" came out in 2013. I promptly subscribed to their newsletter, but only receive it sporadically now. Cover art for the EP that track appears on drew me in deeper ;). I love how they floored John Richards of KEXP in their appearance there several years ago -- see YT. Shake Shake Go's "England Skies" track caught my particular attention a year later. I've mentioned both bands in this forum before, in a response to stickygirl last summer about "Music that you write to".

A thing I referenced in that same post as something I was working on, is supposed to be published today! (I'll believe it when I see it):

Valley Winter Song - Fountains of Wayne, from which I drew the title (and some inspiration) for the piece I hope to finish next.

Salt n Pepa, Push It. A good song to listen to when I need a "push" to resume writing stories.

Been on a Cory Hanson kick this morning.
"Your mom was a psychoanalyst / until she egged my car / and then she was my nemesis"

T-Rex Get It On, Chicago Will You Still Love Me, Hootie & the Blowfish Let Her Cry, Jackson Browne The Load Out/Stay, Madness Our House

Currently listening to our cat battling with her 8 kittens, there 3 weeks old and all giving it laldy
