What Are You Thinking? Continued 10

Participating in Secret Santa for the first time! I got my boss. I don’t like my boss. Help!

Give him a bag of dirt with a bow taped to the bottom

I would be tempted to get something cheeky, but I know who got who will eventually come out! I’m not sure whether Secret Santa gifts should be amusing, or something more personal. I barely know the guy, except that he’s out for himself! Perhaps a mirror 😂

Sigh...To There and Back Again was a wordy, account of a series of events...many mundane. Any translation...in any language...would yield at best one worthwhile 3 hour movie. Why 3 were made is beyond comprehension other than a blatant attempt to ride a money train created from a real trilogy, the LotR. To say the two trilogy movies are comparable is just false. I can watch the LotR, and have, over and over. I watched the Hobbit trilogy once. The book is simply that much better.

Ok...here is my advice..as a man who has had over 500 employees in my lifetime.....get him a candle. Spend 20 bucks. It doesn't matter what is smells like but cucumber would be the best. Stay away from musky scents. He will get the wrong idea. Spend a bit on the wrapping and dress down for the party.

Best of luck! Let me know how it works out,

I'll agree that if someone's viewed the LOTR Trilogy then it's worth the time to watch The Hobbit Trilogy.

I'll also agree that while the work done with The Hobbit films isn't as captivating as that done with TLOTR it's still amazingly done.

The Hobbit is a densely packed book, much more so than each of the LOTR books were. But using it to make a series of movies as was done with TLOTR was pushing it a bit.

The Hobbit does not justify a trilogy. Peter Jackson knew it and in fact were the studios that wanted the trilogy. The changes from the book were many and some really bad. But more importantly, the CGI ruined it for me. When LOTR was made they used Big-atures and very little CGI. It was a blessing in disguise that CGI was not back then what it is today and also they didn't have the budget available they had for The Hobbit. I have them in my collection because they are part of Middle-earth story. But the best part are hours and hours of extras. Still, it's worth watching it once, at least. You get to know more about Bilbo and Martin Freeman as Bilbo was great.

Once again I can’t sleep. I don’t know why my brain works in over drive when I need it to rest....

Am I the only one who doesn’t get all the superhero shit? sure...it should have a place. But why is it EVERYWHERE?

I can’t help but wonder what it says about us all. There’s a super strong correlation between recessions and horror movies — to the point that it actually frames the movie industry. There has to be a correlation with super hero movies. Are we all feeling powerless? Are we xenophobic? Sexually frustrated? Tired of talking to Andrew at Cole Haan customer service because of a missing pair of tan, cap-toed oxfords?

Oh.
