Damn. 94. That's impressive. Go Dad!!
He's amazing. He grew up dirt poor in the Ozarks and he's tougher than nails. Still mentally sharp, except for some short-term memory issues. Still holds a great conversation. Lives alone in the house I grew up in, keeps it neat as a pin. Still a great cook. Still drives (not very far).
And he's still a dirty old man.
As long as that keeps up, he's fine. That's where I get it from! Funny how as we age, we see all the things our parents talked about (that we thought were annoying) yet now we understand.
With what my father experienced, that only goes so far. I never went hungry--my dad made sure of that because he did. But my father never wanted a lot of kids for that reason. I want no kids of my own, so that much I do understand.
