What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

Never do that.

Never do that either.

I know, easier said than done, but never done if never attempted.
It is easier said than done. I can't seem to find the balance between worrying about other people's feelings and standing up for my own in a healthy way.
Always believe that you have more worth than those that think you have less.
Thank you. It's hard when the father of my children doesn't seem to value my efforts over the 20 years we were together, but that's part of the reason he's my ex.

The pause button on the DVR has to be one of the best inventions.

Pause the game, go do something else for 45 minutes and then fast forward.

I don't care what you're selling, I don't want to watch you tell me how much you think I need it...

Not being a smart ass, okay?

• I always read through a recipe before starting.

• Taters that are soaked first cook better because it gets the starch out.

The recipe should have had "cooking time after soaking" to be clear. Following recipes is hard when they aren't exact!
I would never think you were being a smart ass! ;)

I'm just glad I read it when I did - I had an idea that they would take 30 minutes-ish to cook, so I might have not looked it up until 30 minutes before I wanted to have dinner... it said soaking them would make them crispier, but they weren't very crispy :(

I suppose I should be more prepared for dinner in general, I guess.

And this is why I hate cooking… I’m following a recipe for roasted potatoes & it says total prep plus cooking time is 35 minutes. Perfect. Then I read the instructions and the first thing it says to do is soak the potatoes for half an hour! Where is that in the 5 minutes prep time?? It always takes twice as long as advertised. And in the case of cooking, longer isn’t better 😡
Always use frozen tater tots.

*puts British TT knowledge to work*

Dry them off completely. Season taters.

Heat oil in the baking dish.

Add taters, stir, and roast/bake. Turn, etc.

@Wand3rlust - is this correct?

(I roast them in my AF, oiling and seasoning my taters before cooking)

Sounds good to me. Depends how you like your roasties.

I like mine very crispy on the outside but soft in the middle. So I over boil them, and shake them before putting them in the fat. Then turn them frequently or baste them.

Back in work. 8.30 am and already don’t want to be here. Not good to be in this mindset as a leader but it is what it is!

Might just be a frustrating weekend as had the chance of a session with ex… but she teased me and rolled over saying she’s tired wait till the morning. Morning came and she decided to get up early!!!!

Love a crispy roast potato too!

I give them a shake once drained to rough them up a bit and then dust them with flour before putting in the fat
