We all do it. We all tell those little white lies 😁

I have a lie that I tell quite often…

I don’t like coriander leaves (cilantro). It tastes disgustingly like soap. I used to tell people I didn’t like it and they would always say things such as ā€œit is only a little bit, you won’t even know it is thereā€. Well, I did know. I can taste it. Now I lie about it and say I am allergic to it. They don’t pressure me to give it a try.

What little lies do you tell?

I do this at restaurants to make sure that they don’t mess up my order (I’m not complicated - I actually like timings plain and add what I want). But I’m allergic to mayo, pickles, tomatoes…they are generally more conscientious if they think it’s an allergy.

I lied last week when trying on Bridesmaid dresses. I said I liked them and they were cute, but NOT! I mean seriously, she is just putting us in these to make herself look better..
I can be so bitchy sometimes :devilish:

Holy shit! I never thought of that before… are there brides who really do that? They intentionally dress their bridesmaids down to make themselves look better?

Those Bridezilla types are awful and there are plenty of them. Some choose dresses that are so bad, it must be to get revenge on sisters, cousins, friends for past actions. I also think there is no rule on having bridesmaids so if you want to make yourself look better, don’t have bridesmaids. You will be the only one people need to look at and you will get more attention by people wondering why you didn’t have bridesmaids 😁

I told a troublesome client that I didn’t know how to fix her problem.

Actually I know exactly how to fix the problem she was asking about, but technically it wasn’t a lie… I just didn’t say the problem I couldn’t fix was herself.

Yeah but they usually pick some dress they have no business putting themselves into and that just makes everyone look like shit. šŸ˜‚

That I'm OK. A lot of the time I'm not, but that doesn't mean I want to talk about it.

That I had fun at whatever crowded event we attended. Outside of baseball or a really good concert, I'm full of shit and was probably miserable. People and I? We don't mix well.

Also, that there is 100% no cilantro in this. I swear.

In real life I’m very quiet and don’t offer many opinions. Sometimes my wife or close friends will ask me ā€œWhat are you thinking about?ā€œ Often it’s something or someone from here on Lit. Of course instead of telling the truth I make up some plausible answer.
