When I was a kid we could play all day and night and not worry about being snatched now you need bodyguards to watch over your kids even when sleeping in their own beds.

When I was a kid I told some kid I knew he couldn't stay up as late as he told me he did because that's when Santa came for his visit and he might see him and spoil everything.
Also, my best friend used to open all the presents for him BEFORE Christmas. I was with him.

WIWAK Friendships were stronger, easier to maintain too despite the complexities of growing up. The word Friends meant the same thing to all kids.

WIWAK you could get in a fight on the playground, and be best friends with the kid an hour later. You didn't have to worry about him coming to school with a gun the next day, and shooting you and your friends.
