WOD: Through the Darkness of Forever

Sonja smiled, “You’re welcome. Well this is my second time here. I figured it might be a good place to spend time and maybe meet a few people.”

She smiled briefly as the bartender took Devin’s drink order, returning quickly with it. “Thank you, and Devin is not so bad a name, it’s actually good to have a name that’s different. Most people remember them easier.”

She follows Devin’s gaze, seeing the man she spotted only briefly in the upstairs window the night before and earlier this afternoon when she first arrived.

“It’s ok, Devin.. Oh and please just call me Sonja…I’m not really old enough for the miss.” She smiled again, “And yes I would have to agree he is..”

Simon was handsome and powerful, attracting attention as soon as they'd entered the club, but with a wave of his hand, sent hopefuls away from himself, carefully shielding Victoria. He chose a quiet booth near the music, and seated himself next to her, the shield he'd placed around her fading ever so slightly...just enough so that he could filter out the undesireables. She would learn tonight, what it was to feed and sustain her altered lifeforce.

Victoria was enraptured, the music flowed to her core, each note seeming to touch her soul. The song was sultry...thick and heavy with sensuality, she had never heard anything like it. She lost herself in it, swaying rhythmically to it's sound, and Simon watched as her instincts took over, and she rose to dance alone.

He smiled...

She will be a natural

...and he watched over her as she made her way into the crowd, but never out of his sight. It wasn't long before a young man was drawn to her, heavy lidded reverance emanating from his being. He was linked to her now...she had unconsciously made her choice, her intuition was proof that she would someday become a powerful asset to her clan.

Their bodies melded, lost in the music...blending time and space into their own reality. Moving as one intrinsic creature, unbroken within a greater purpose. Victoria's fingers entangled in his hair...the man's arm's clinging tightly to her...her mouth tasting his flesh...his aching moans urging her onward. The want and desire flowed freely between them, her instincts completely overtaking her...she let her teeth pierce him finally, his blood's sweet nectar filling her completely. His body arched slightly into hers as she drank from him, but their rhythm never faltered. Their dance of life was seamless as she took what she needed, and then licked the wound closed.

It was then that her reverie broke, almost painfully. It was then that her heart felt that piercing of anguish, and her eyes opened suddenly, only to connect with his...

Across the crowd he stood horrified...his eyes locked with hers.

Lucian

Lucain was starting to get frustrated. The need was still there, clawing at him, pulling him, but he could not find it. It was almost as if it was diffused thoughout the club by... something. He did not sense any magic in use, so it must be something else. Either that, or his need was overwhelming his senses.

Sighing, Lucian started towards the dance floor again, to make his third round of the club. The band was still playing, a slow instramental piece with a smooth saxophone solo. Lucian stood for a second, lost in the music, slowly swaying with the beat. Slowly, the crowd parted before him, offering him a glimpse of the middle of the dance floor, where a man and a woman danced together slowly. The man held the woman tightly as they moved together, his hands caressing her body, roaming over her flesh slowly. Lucian stood there, mesmerized by the sight of her. His unconsious screamed at him, telling him that he knew the woman, and his need intensified tenfold. But still, he stood there, enchanted, and watched the pair of them move as one. He could not hear what the man was saying, but it was clear to him that he had fallen under her spell as well. Then finally, as they spun on the dancefloor, the woman leaned in, and opened her mouth. Lucian gasped as he saw her canines enlarge, and peirce the mans neck, sinking into his flesh. The man slumped slightly against the woman, though their dance still continued. Lucian watched them move together, as his emotions bombarded him. Attraction and repulsion. Lust and fear. Desire and curiosity. They swirled together inside of him, battling for control. And then it was over. The woman pulled her head back and unconsiously licked her lips, picking up a few droplets of the man's lifeblood that had managed to escape her. Then, she licked the man's neck, and the puncture wounds dissapeared, leaving no trace of her violation.

Lucian knew he was starting, but he could not help it. He had never in his life felt like this. He had always felt in control, knowing his knowledge, training, and magic could help him overcome any situation. But this was new. He did not know how to react. Then, she looked up. Thier eyes locked for a second, and he remembered where he had seen her. Images flashed through his mind, of his astral trip, as he watched her life being drained by a monster, and watched her being transformed. Another image floated through his mind. An image projected from his soul. A woman floated serenely in the air, her large eyes closed, her caramel colored hair framing a delicate face. The face that now stared back at him from across the room.

The song ended then, abruptly shattering the spell between them. The band started up again, this time playing a cover, Van Morrison's Moondance.

Well it's a marvelous night for a moondance, with the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance, 'neath the cover of October skies

Lucian moved slowly towards them, his eyes locked with hers. Approaching the man, he tapped him on his shoulder.

Well the leaves on the trees are falling, to the sound of breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling, of your heartstrings that play soft and low

"Excuse me, sir. May I cut in?"

And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine, in your blush

The man looked at Lucian then, his eyes glazed over with lust and confusion. Lucian reached into his mind then, easily overcoming the man's defenses, and planted a suggestion, that the man needed to be home. The man disengaged himself from her, and stumbled in the direction of the door, leaving Lucian and the woman standing there, looking at one another.

Can I just have one more Moondance with you, my Love?
Can I just make some more romance with you, my Love?

"May I have this dance, Miss?"

Victoria's eyes remained locked with his...this man...this ethereal being before her...it was him, and she ached to know him. Every fiber of her being cried out to know him. The pain in her heart, the ache in her core, drove her forward....she longed to understand his power over her, but now, at this moment in time, all she could do was nod to him and softly say,

"Yesss..."

Lucian

Well I wanna make love to you tonight, i can't wait till the morning has come
and I know now the time is just right, and straight into my arms you will run

"Yesss..."

She whispered the words to him, her voice low and husky, filled with the need that he too felt.

And when you come my heart will be waiting, to make sure that you're never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true dear, there and then I will make you my own

Lucian reached out, and grasped her hand then, holding it tight.

And everytime, I touch you, you just tremble inside
then I know how much you want me that, you can't hide

The electricity arced through Lucian's mind and body as he touched her. His perception expanded, encompassing both his body and hers, to a dizzying degree. Her feelings flooded his senses, her peceptions clouded his mind. He felt her soft, whispy hair carressing her back, he felt how her outfit hugged her body, and he felt his hand, rough with years of callouses, pressing against hers, soft and smooth. And through all that, he felt power surge through him, magic coursing through his body, and his soul.

The feeling was intoxicating.

Can I just have one more Moondance with you, my Love?
Can I just make some more romance with you, my Love?

Desiree'

Arriving at the club with Wrathlance escorting her, Desiree' was astounded to see what had just taken place on the dancefloor.
A fellow vamp had just fed and was now mesmerizing of all people ,Lucian!!

Lucian and the woman were just standing there looking at one another!Damn Him !! The man who had killed her father years ago was so close within her reach, yet he was getting ready to dance with another.. I must draw no undue attention to myself..

Just the idea alone that he was here was alot for her to bear, The craziness of the night that lie ahead burned into her mind.
She felt such anger , such contempt for him , yet at the same time she couldnt help but notice how attractive he was as well..
"Hell, 'get ahold of yourself Desiree', You are Tremere , "You need no one , they need you",she told herself.

Yet the other night she was enchanted by the handsome vampire named Hunter and she was now with the sexy Demon Wrathlance as well , whatever was getting to her needed to stop and stop soon.It didnt make any sense, no sense at all.
It seemed like nothing much about this night was going to.

She turned to Wrathlance and in a sudden blur of dizziness felt herself leaning against him,He held her by her shoulders mingling with his hot breath brushing her soft skin as he leaned closer to her.

An anchor.the demon had become an anchor for her, and that bothered her almost as much as the uncharacteristic weakness she suddenly felt..Magic was at work here .Strong magic indeed.

The moment his hand touched her own, it was as if time had stopped completely. It was simply she and him, no one else could enter their world. Her eyes clouded as her energy combined with his, images of him flashing violently through her mind. She knew this man...had known him her entire life, and had not realized it.

Simon rose from his seat, knowing immediately that something was not right. He began striding toward the pair, but Victoria unconsciously raised her free hand...throwing her arm out in defiance, sending Simon sprawling backwards.

She floated somewhere between reality and fantasy, with him at her side, listening to his thoughts, his most personal emotions that flowed freely into her. She felt his pain, and his longing, but most of all, she felt his love for her.

His life force melted into her own, they were one being, truly one beating heart...one restless soul. Their only purpose at that moment was to be together, joined and inseperable. Victoria basked in his light, and for once in her short life, she felt completely whole.

She wanted only him...needed only him...and nothing else mattered...

Devin's blush slowly faded to be replaced by a smile.

"Sonja... I appreciate this." She bowed slightly, happiness glowing in all her features. "I've never been able to talk to another woman like this bef--"

Flash of white.

<<--->>

Flash of white.

He opened his eyes.

"T-The darkness! It's coming for me!"

"NO!"

<<--->>

NO!

Devin snapped to attention, her eyes darting to the side.

Boy? Are you back?

WATCH OUT!

What!? What are you talking about?

WATCH OUT! WATCH OUT!

"Miss Sonja... please be careful."

She rose, powerfully, energy beginning to condense around her.

Somewhere, Life was being violated.

Somewhere, the Planet rebelled against this atrocity.

She was the Planet's savior. She would fight to avenge this indignity...

Or, that's what she was planning, until she saw the lovely woman dancing with her crush.

Her girlish fantasies crumbling immediately, Devin swallowed. I s-should've figured he had a girlfriend or something...

WATCH OUT! SOMETHING'S NOT RIGHT HERE!

...Boy? What's wrong with you? Why are you so...

A man approached, but fell back, grimacing, just as her senses felt something wrong leaving the door... a man, stumbling...

It all came together now.

"Nightstalker," whispered Devin, unaware that Sonja could still hear. She began to walk forward, the light bending slightly around her, and people stepped away from her without realizing why. The man was getting up... his fury and confusion were evident...

Planet! I shall avenge you!

She didn't know why, but the Planet, or whatever it was, always seemed to listen to her.

She felt power come to her again... she felt the image of Boy flicker into her mind... she felt the energies of the universe surge and swirl around her... a beautiful feeling... the power... what would she use it for this time? Oh, the possibilities...

I now know what I must do!

"Sir Lucian!" Devin cried desperately. "Your life is in danger!"

As the crowd began to whisper, Simon lunged for the dancing pair. He knew something was wrong... and she knew something was wrong. Lucian and the girl still seemed to be in a trance... something was passing between him and her...

But something's wrong with that girl, too. What?

Girl! I've lent you my strength! Prepare!

The man leapt forward.

Forces... will you deign to help me this time? If my cause is just, and I fight for the redemption of humanity, then bring me your aid, I beg you!

"FIREBALL!"

Surprised, the man stumbled back once again, reeling as his clothes caught fire by the blast. Devin knew she might have ruined things for good here in the Oracle, but she also knew that saving Lucian's life was her priority...

...he got up.

The man had recovered.

He glared at her.

"This is none of your concern, Dark Knight!"

Shocked and surprised, Girl couldn't even struggle as Devin's features twisted into an astonished grimace.

"What did you call me?" she said, her tone of voice now deep. "What do you know about me?"

Boy... so he's talking to you? Dark Knight?

Simon smirked. "Destroyer of Worlds, do you not know yourself?" He crouched, as Lucian and the girl continued to stare into each others' eyes. "Then killing your host will be all too easy..."

They both moved.

Too fast.

He was too fast.

As ribs cracked and snapped under the force of his punch, Devin could only think:

Too fast...

"Uuuaaaggh!" she shrieked, flying back under the force of Simon's superhuman strength, blood flying from her mouth as she collasped, choking and coughing on the ground.

As she struggled to summon the power to heal herself through the haze of pain, Simon turned to the pair, his eyes blazing...

But the distraction was enough to snap Lucian from his reverie...

“Holy Shit.”

That’s it? That’s all I can think of to say?

She sits there wondering what the hell that was and what she should do.

Should I run away and go home, or should I run and help her. I just met her and yet I feel I should help. What the hell was that anyways? And why wasn’t he hurt?

She stands and moves slowly forward, watching the man who attacked her “friend”. Then seeing her start to collapse she rushes forward faster, trying to break her fall.

“Are you ok Devin?”

Simon growled with displeasure, ignored the falling girl, and turned to Victoria, shielding her mind as it lay weakened now by the rift. Through gritted teeth he spoke harshly to her, grabbing her as the other man's hold upon her mind and body loosened and disolved.

Well at least that little Dark Knight wench was useful in some distractive capacity...

Victoria was dazed, the pain of separation coursing through her as if every one of her nerve endings were torn and exposed. She could feel the anger from Simon, but could not process his words to her...and perhaps it was better that way. He snatched her away immediately, whisked her to their waiting limosine, and returned her to the chantry.

Finally inside her chambers, Simon's disappointment was evident as he tore the clothing from her body, growling and enraged. Yet his anger was not entirely directed towards her. That man...that BOY...would pay for compromising his charge. Simon placed Victoria, nude and still stunned, into her bed, and left to arrange a meeting with her Sire.

Crimson haze...

"Sonja..."

Devin grimaced, trying to smile.

"H-He hurt me..."

The crowd still stunned and now chattering to each other about the fight, nobody but Sonja saw the faint glow from Devin's forehead.

I-It hurts so much... it's hard to battle through the haze... Boy? Boy, where are you?

D... Destroyer of... Worlds...?

Boy! H-Help me, please...

Girl! I... I'm sorry! Hold on!

Suddenly restored with primal energy, Devin felt her ego plunge through her soul, searching for that core, that silvery link to the Planet itself... or wherever it was she got her power...

"Eternal positive force," whispered Devin faintly, "body of earth, blood of water, focus of wind, and spirit of fire... fuse into pure Holy..."

"Heal these wounds... I beg of you..."

As Sonja watched, transfixed, she could see Devin's ribs realign themselves underneath her dress, the blood from her mouth seeming to drain back into her throat, as if returning to where it once was.

Panting, her eyes barely focused, the petite Mage struggled to her feet, Sonja reaching out to help even as her eyes filled with awe and confusion. Devin gave her a weak smile of thanks before turning to the confused Lucian, who still seemed to be staring off into space.

"S-S-Sir Lucian," she rasped, "n-not even a... word of thanks?"

Surrendering to the darkness, she fainted on her feet, collapsing.

Surrendering to the darkness...

<<--->>

I will never surrender to the darkness...

They floated in nothing and everything. Inside.

Boy held Girl in his arms, slowly restoring her, helping her to return to consciousness sooner.

Who am I? Why does the darkness seek me? Is this why I am plagued by fears? Because of my past...?

Who am I?

Desiree'

What was this vamp thinking ?, Desiree' asked herself. Feeding in public view and now tossing this man around like a rag doll?
Certainly such behaviour was not to be tolerated here?

Still feeling weak she looked up at Wrathlance...she sensed a tremEndous energy surge from where Lucian and 'that woman' were standing , close ..too close... as suddenly as the energy had
increased , now it was gone...interesting indeed..

She watched as the man whom she had hurled across the room just minutes ago ,hurried the woman out of the Oracle and into a waiting limo..

Listening to the crowd chatter about the fight, Desiree' kept a watchful eye on where Lucian was standing .. He seemed as if in a trance of some sort..

Lucian

The world was peaceful, serene. He felt complete, whole, for the first time in his life.

And just as suddenly as he had achieved it, it was pulled from his grasp again. His world was torn asunder, his newly mended soul was severed again. His mind was lost in a haze, as he saw her being pulled from him, her hand outstreched, clasping his for as long as possible before she was rushed out the door, out into the night. And still Lucian stood there, stunned, paralyized, while she dissapeared as quickly as she had arrived.

Then the world came rushing back into comprehension. His senses shocked him. The smell of burnt flesh, the aura of power from an effect recently cast, the dead silence in the room. Lucian noticed a crowd gathered around the bar area, and Lucian felt a wave of cold dread pass through him. Pushing past the people, he saw the girl laying on the floor, seemingly unconsious, with a silver haired woman kneeling beside her.

"Out of my way!" Lucian rudely pushed the nearest bystanders out of the way, and knelt by the fallen girl's side. Looking over her, he saw severe injuries to her internal organs, despite her obvious attempts to heal them. It seemed that she had fallen unconsious before she could complete the job. Lucian reached down, and ripped open the the bottom of her shirt, baring her stomach. Placing his hands on her stomach, he concentrated, feeling the flow of time, letting it flow through him, into the girl. Lucian started chanting, in a low voice, the words honing his concentration into a single point. Slowly, he grasped her timeframe, and began to rewind it. For the girl, Time seemed to slow, then come to a stop. Then, it began to move backwards. As Lucian rewound, the damager her body had endured began to dissapear. The bruises dissapeared, her bones slid back into place, until all of it had vanished. Only then did he let go, and allow her to slip back in flow with normal time. Only this time, without the man to attack her, the injuries did not appear.

Sighing in relief, Lucian picked up the girl, and walked towards the stairs, the nightclub crowd backing out of his way. He carried her up the circular stairway, and laid her in the bed, for the second time today. Guilt wracked his mind, and he vividly remembered the promise he had made the girl, just last night. The promise that he had broken this night, when he allowed her to again come to harm under his roof. Lucian reached into his pocket, and pulled out a cell phone, a gift he had planned on giving her after her first lesson this afternoon. Opening her hand, he slid the phone, which contained only the number to his cellphone, and The Oracle, into her grasp.

Lucian picked up the Infinity rod from where he had left it, and slowly decended the stairs again.

"Sir, where are you going?" James had a worried look on his face as he asked.

"I am going to find her."

Boy held her tightly as the body's clock was rewound.

Because of my own contemplation... I didn't pay attention to your predicament until it was too late... Girl, I... have I failed you?

He leaned down, floating through the cosmos of her soul, as he cradled Devin's translucent psuedo-body in his arms.

Rest now... I will protect you...

Whoever I am... I will protect you...

<<--->>

Unconscious and alone, Devin's mouth slowly moved into a soft smile...

She sat and watched, uncomprehending, as it seemed that Devin’s wounds seemed to be fixing themselves. This can’t be happening. Hoping Devin was ok. She helps Devin to her feet…”Devin you should rest.” Speaking, though knowing her words go unheard. She catches her again as she faints, lowering her to the floor gently.

She looks up from where she’s holding Devin as the man she mentioned earlier…Lucian she thinks is what Devin called him, approaches.

"Out of my way!" Lucian rudely pushed the nearest bystanders out of the way, and knelt by the fallen girl's side.

She only moves slightly out of his way, not wanting to leave the girl’s side, as he kneels beside Devin, and begins to chant words that she has no idea what they mean, she just watches. Almost as if unable to leave, though everything inside her tells her …leave this place.

Then before she realizes it he has picked the girl up and is carrying her away. As he heads upstairs with Devin’s limp body in his arms, she finally looks around. Noticing that the club has pretty much cleared out, she decides it best to now make her way home. She heads out front and then remembers she should call a cab, she turns heading back in and almost collides with Lucian.

Seeing Lucian heal the young Girl on the dancefloor was much more than Desiree' could bear to watch, 'sure he could HEAL her', but why couldnt he do the SAME for my father?"

Emotions filled with hate and revenge welled up inside her....watching him carry the girl to an upstairs room , Desiree' decided to watch from the shadows and perhaps surprise him with a surprise confrontation..She jerked away from the demon who was trying his best to keep her calm as he too could sense the anger welling inside her body. If she was this emotional and powerful when upset , he could only imagine the passsion she would display in the bedroom.Unbeknownst to Desiree' ,the demon Wrathlance followed her also ...

Hiding in the shadows near where the girl he had saved earlier lay in the next room, Desireee' watched and waited..she watched as Lucian descened the stairs with his Infinty rod in his hand...exactly what importance did this 'Girl' play in Lucian's life?

Just how "'important" was she to him?"' She laughed mischievously... 'hmm why would he be so foolish as to leave her unattended ?" ahh , "wait, I see a man by the door also.".. ahh yes it was James , and he looked worried..

Casting a spell that allows her to slip into the shadowy closet of the girls' room , the first thing Desiree' noticed was the powerful 'aura'
surrounding the girl , never before had she sensed such power except of course from Lucian , himself..

Well," If I am to confront him at all ,it must be tonite, and since most of the crowd down stairs has dissipated, I will patiently wait until his return"..she thought to herself..

Rufus walked around the empty complex. looking in dismay as he did so. He admired the rooms and artwork. He went up into the halls and peered into the rooms taking in the sights. He then found an empty room. It reminded him of something he didn't know quite what. He laid down on the bed the whole room giving him a weird sensation of familiarity. He laid there in awe and finally fell asleep.

Wrathlance saw Desiree spell herself away. He followed her example, and appeared next to her. He put his hand over her mouth, stifling her surprised gasp. He opened a mental connection with her, and his presence entered her mind. "Remember, I am here to help. Anything you need, I shall get. Anywhere you go, I shall be there with you" he whispered into her mind, softly, gently, soothing her, calming her.

Desiree'

Feeling Wrathlance's hand over her mouth surprised Desiree' as she never figured the demon would follow her.'Damn!"

Feeling more calm now that he had somehow entered her mind, she was no longer focused on her revenge with Lucian. She tried to shake this feeling off, but to no avail. what the hell was this demon doing?"

No!" she shouted, pulling his hand away.." I cant stay calm!! that bastard killed my father, he may have been a warlock , but he still meant the world to me!"

Hearing footsteps quiclkly coming toward the door they were both hiding behind, Desiree's heart pounded wildly.

"Who's there?' who's behind this door ? screamed James..
Come out now, or face my wrath.....

Desiree'' laughed wickedly.. "How about instead ,dear James"You face My friend Wrathlance?" hmmm?"

Wrathlance quickly leapt to the door, yanking it open. He pulled James into the room, bringing his fist down onto James' head, felling him instantly. Wrathlance caught the falling body, and laid it down gently. He then turned to Desiree. "You remind me of an old friend of mine. So bent on revenge he didn't truly appreciate what life had given him until his death. Revenge can be yours, but it must be brought about methodically and emotion must not infiltrate. I would know. I was once lost in the sweetness of insanity", he whispered, saddened.

'Perhaps you are right Wrathlance' , as tempting as it would be for me to have my way with Lucian tonite, maybe I had best think about this and do a bit more planning.. But , just look at her there, so helpless, so innocent , so "TASTY', Desiree' took a few steps near Devin when she felt the strong arm of the demon pull her back.

No!. "Not now". "Not tonite ..and Not her. 'This girl has been thru enough, besides she may come in handy as a way of us getting to Lucian later if thats truly your plan my dear?" He asked her..

"Just what kind of a hold does this demon have on me anyways?' , Desiree asked herself. Yet, what he says does make some sort of logical sense I suppose.."I MUST feed tonite", she said as she looked at him with hunger in her eyes.."And I Will "..

As they both quietly made their way back down the stairs to the bar area where a few people were still waiting, Desiree' saw Hunter sitting casually at the bar looking rather perplexed about the whole ordeal that had just taken place. She asked Wrathlance to order them a drink "Something sweet and RED" , she continued , with a wink.

'Well , My dear Hunter, Hello ", and how are you doing tonight?"
'What do YOU make of tonight's festivities'?

Victoria clutched frantically at her bedclothes, a sheen of perspiration covering her skin. She slept fitfully, feverish with want. Her dreams were filled with images of him, with his scent, and his presence. She watched him as a small child, crying out in anguish, calling to her...wailing for her. She saw him grow alone into adolescence, felt the power grow within him as he trained and meditated. She saw him falter and crumble, humbled by his part in the passing of an older mentor. Then rise anew even stronger than before, always learning, always searching. She watched as he became a man, strong and purposeful, beautiful and impenetrable...pushing away those who longed to love him.

She witnessed his most recent memories and saw a softer side of him, as he took the young girl Devin into his home and under his wing. She saw Devin's eyes through his, beautiful and unsure, longing for guidance and purpose.

He will indeed make a wonderful master...

Her thoughts were almost lucid now...yet Victoria hung onto her dreamlike state, not wanting to emerge...knowing she had lost him...knowing she had disgraced herself...

Lucian

Lucian moved out to of the club, quickly, moving towards his garage. He passed confused clubbers, who seemed to be arguing whether the scene they had just witnessed in the club had been a halucination, or whether it was a staged show. When they saw him coming through, though, they were quick to get out of his path.

Upon reaching the garage, Lucian climbed into his white jeep, leaving the motorcycle behind. If he was to rescue Her, than she would need a place to ride. Driving out into the streets, Lucian quickly realized he had no idea where she was being held. He knew she was a nightwalker, and backed by a powerfull orginization, so she must be in one of the cities' chantries. But which one? His contacts had not informed him of a new fledgeling being made anywhere, so he had nothing to go on.

So Lucian drove, and he thought. About the feelings that had bombarded him when he had touched her. He had never felt so complete in his life. He had always known that he was to be a loner. He was raised, no... forged, to be a weapon, a weapon the Masters would wield in the battle to wrest the destiny of mankind from the hands of the Technocracy. He had never questioned this purpose. It was simply the way it was. But now, Lucian wondered if perhaps he had lost something. If in all the time he had trained, and honed, and refined his body, mind, and spirit, that he had missed out on the simple feeling of touching another. Lucian resolved that he would do everthing within his power to make sure he felt that touch again.

Lucian pulled up to a large building in a quaint suburbian nieghborhood. The sign above the door labeled the quiet bar as the "Eternal Rose". Lucian knew, however, that this building was a Tremere chantry, the largest in the city. Picking up the Infinity Rod, Lucian walked to the door, and calmly knocked three times.

This was as good a place as any to start...

Victoria

Rufus laid there dreaming. He drempt of vampires and the building he was in. He also drempt of a red light. He didn't know what it was. He then awoke at a start

As Rufus awoke he heard Victoria and Simon in her quarters. He followed the sounds of the comotion. As he arived at Victoria's room he stood in the doreway. He saw her naked in some sort of a trance lying there. He was still in his black trench coat and the clothes he had worn when he stumbled into the place.

He just stood there looking into her eyes. She seemed not realy there but in a trance. Her mind elsewhere. He quickly whent over to her and got a robe for her. His mind might have been wiped clean of all memory but he still had the decency to not take advantage of her. He called to her, shaking her slightly as he did so. She seemed to be in complete ecstacy. He woke her.

"Are you alright? He said."

He looked at her. Her face was pale as could be. It was pale before but even paler now. Like snow in the moonlight. The robe draped across her shoulders.

"I heard noises and came to see what was going on. ___ Are you all right?"

He put his hand on her shoulder as if to comfort her.

OOC: You are back from the club right? if not tell me and I will edit this post.:rose:

Victoria could not deny Rufus's voice, and the calm comfort it brought. Bloody tears began to stream down her face as she sat up, pulling the robe around her. She sobbed...burrowing her head into his chest, forgetful that she was surely staining his clothing. The shock of seperation was slowly ebbing from her body now, but the ache in her heart was still overwhelming.

She now understood...she now remembered everthing she'd had stolen from her memories...she had revisited her childhood through Lucian's eyes.

"Thank you Rufus....for coming to me," she whispered. "Thank you for..." she broke down again, her cries muffled into his body.

In time, her tears lessend and her body began to relax. Rufus had stayed with her, unmoving, letting her escape for a bit within his arms. She finally looked up at him, eyes blood-filled, and saw that he was looking into them, perplexed.

"What is it Rufus?" she began. "You look as if you've never seen a vampire cry."

She touched his face lightly, tracing her fingertips over his skin.
