Hmmm...
(Rome) Molecular Archeologests today revealed that "Otzi", the 5000 year old mummy discovered in 1995 in the Italian Alps showed evidence of recent combat just before his death. DNA evidence of bloodstains on his coat showed they came from four different individuals, one being himself. It was also discovered that Otzi had slash marks on his ribs, hands and forearms. These marks are usually determined to be "defensive" cuts. An arrow head was discovered in Otzi's right shoulder and removed for examination by the local crime lab.
A spokesman for the coronor's office called this a classic "gang land slaying". Officials from New York City arrived in Rome to investigate the findings as part of the on-going Mob investigation.
Later it was learned that Otzi's real name is Salvatore "Sammy The Bull" Gravano, the mobster who fingered Gambino Crime Family Chief, Don Gotti. Police are looking for a link between Otzi's death and Gotti's brother, Peter Gotti who is currently under indictment in New York for jury tampering, murder and selling fake, knock-off Girl Scout Cookies.

(Washington) An Associated Press Poll taken last week indicates that the majority of the population condems gay marriages. The poll take by AP included personal interviews with 1186 married women. When asked if they wanted their husbands to be gay a resounding 92% responded "No", 6% responded "He is" and 2% "Just couldn't make up thier minds".
Further questioning by pollsters indicate that anything politicians did about gay marriages would be completely meaningless since "most of them are a bunch of fags anyway."
Responding to the poll, the Senior Congressman from California, Mr. Susanne LaTour said, "Oh, I should just bitch slap those old biddies. And how do you like my new implants? Aren't the cute? 38DD, you know."

Where is Waverly? I've been there, but can't remember... I lived in Montgomery County- Olney- for many years! Great state!
I know it's hard to not make assumptions. Waverly is an ex girlfriend's nickname. I like the way it sounds so I've used it for e-mails and this place. MoCo has changed quite a bit. More traffic, more shopping, etc.
No matter what you do, there will always be critics. Pres. Bush I determined that the No-Fly Zone was necessary (Pres. Clinton did not end them and he's the UNs butt boy). The UN has done magnificent work in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Liberia and the former Yugoslavia; why wouldn't the US do their bidding in other international matters?
That's all I have to say. I now return you to our regularly scheduled program of Jenny_S writing and reporting the news. Take it away, Jenny!

MoCo sucks now- I was there last year... and I've been to Waverly Tn! (having a blonde moment!) When I first lived there- 1969- there was nothing on Ga and 10? but a fruit stand and the Post Office... It was nice then!
I think I'm gonna vacate this thread for awhile... or close it. It's not turning out like I had intended! I like it- but- well I'm just havin a crummy day, so we'll see. Actually I'm thinking of shutting off of Lit for good. It has really gotten tiresome...

...my friend is leaving me
I'm trying to find the words for a poem, or a story, or something... all I can find is an ache so strong that I just feed a baby and cry, or have a catch with the 4 yr olds, and tear up, and wish I had a zillion dollars to fix everything but it won't and I don't and I can hardly see the keyboard even now and all I can do is wait cuz if I were her I would do the same...
we said goodbye last night but how will I know when she's gone? she's going to a place with no phones and from there to a place where there's no need of phones...
she thinks god hates her

I'm so sorry. I can say that because I've lost friends this way too. It's hard to see a laugh or smile when faced with the inevidability of loss. But she will be in a better place, beyond all the pain and suffering of this world. And you will see her again, my friend.

Janklow narrowly escaped by grinding the terrorist under the wheels of his Cadillac then speeding off before returning to ensure he had killed the terrorist.
State Police issued a traffic citation to the dead man for illegal lane use and obstructing a high-ranking official on a public highway. The dead man is not expected to fight the citation in court. The case was turned over to Homeland Security for further investigation.

An eyewitness who saw the suicide said, “It was cool. She lit up like a Christmas Tree and just sort of exploded. Isn’t Las Vegas a great place for entertainment?”

For several years India has had a crash program to develop space technology. A prototype of the space vehicle was unveiled today. Engineers point out that the space vehicle is a rebuild of a 1967 Ford Pinto with extra added features like factory air and a great new, hi-tech CD sound system.
When asked how they intended to make a used car air tight for the vacuum of space technicians just looked at each other and laughed. Then just ignored the reporters as if it were a really stupid question.

I wish that a hug could make it all better, but it won't.
