(New York City) Mayor Michael Bloomberg appointed a special commission to study the problem of crop circles in the five borrows today. Heading up the commission will be Internatioanlly noted UFO expert and local nut case, Robert Grinze. Mr. Grinze is planning a full blown survey of all five borrows beginning next week. Mr. Glinze is currently scheduled for release from Belvue next Friday.

When asked to comment on the fact there are no crops in New York City the Mayor said, "Yes, that may be true. But that doesn't explain the lack of crop circles. Iowa has them. So Kansas and a lot of other states. I want to know why this city is losing the crop circle race."

(Battle Creek, Michigan) Police discover the body of a man dead in his apartment near downtown Battle Creek this morning. The man identified as Captain Cirus Krunch, was found in his bathtub by his landlady, Mrs. Edna Fobisher.

In an interview, Mrs. Fobisher told reporters, "It was horrible. That poor man was dead in a bath tub full of milk. I would never have believed." Mrs. Fobish had no further details.

The Corornor at the scene indicated the body had been sprinkled with sugar and fruit. Later at a press conference the Corornor and the city District Attorney called for an all out man hunt, calling the murder "a cereal killing".

(Hollywood) Actress and all around big mouth Rosanne Barr checked into Cedar Sinai Hospital this afternoon for tests. Afterwards doctors held a news conference to describe Ms. Barr's condition.

Ms Barr is scheduled to have a hysterectomy tomorrow morning. The doctors hope this will cure her bad attitude. At the press conference when asked if the surgury was really necessary, doctor Harry Cutter replied, "Hey. We're surgeons. This is what we do. We have no idea if it's necessary but we gotta earn our keep around here. Ok?"

(Brooklyn, Michigan) Race car driver, Jimmy Spencer was charged with Bodily Assault today. The charges stem from an altercation with another driver, Kurt Busch. Eyewitnesses say Spencer punched Busch after the Market 400 race in Brooklyn.

When asked to comment Spencer said, "They told me his name was Busch. I thought they meant George W. So I punched he fucker." In responce Busch told reporters through his nose bandage, "I twide to tewl himb bud he woodnt lissn. We bake beer, nod ol."

(Reykjavk, Iceland) The Icelandic Fleet set sail today on the first whaling expedition in fourteen years. The moritorium on hunting whales had been imposed as a measure to reduce over hunting of these animals.

Some 120 boats left this port city to hunt the whales, which are used to meat, the manufacture of perfume and fine oil. There were, however, a few hitches. One boat was inpounded by the British Navy for harpooning Wales in a terrible misunderstanding of he rules of the hunt.

It is rumored that Actress Rosanne Barr is currently hiding out in Cedar Sinai Hospital rather than grossing out the swimmers with her bikini on Californian's Venice Beach. Reporters are not sure if this has anything to do with the whaling story or not.
