Would you introduce your partner to Lit?

My apologies for the international mix up... Spanish is good for me also !

I would have to also agree it wasnt the carpets or lighting either but I now do more on the board than I do with the stories

I'm glad to have made your acquaintance

Have a good weekend

Spanish, Italian...bring 'em on... ;)

I don't really read the stories now either; funny isn't it? I wonder why that happens.

Have a good one yourself sweetness.

I think it just that when you have good conversation, it's difficult to stop and easy to keep going !

Is that profound or what ?

Outed by Dollar Bill!

The evil Mr. Gates and his Microsoft-knows-best web browser have tripped me up. I'd made the mistake of visiting Lit on the home computer.

This morning after breakfast my darling wife says to me "Oh, last night I was shopping online and I started to type in the url for L. L. Bean and as soon as I got as far as www.l there popped up this whole long list of urls that all began www.literotica . You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?" I'm not sure if she batted her eyelashes at that point or not.

So I started scanning the ceiling for inspiration, and said "Oh, well, let me think, I might recall something of the sort..." and ended up giving her a fair description of the stories and poetry to be found here, and the story criticism boards, and the general boards, and the more, um, playful boards, all accompanied by my pattented embarassed puppydog look.

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes, but I could tell she had to resist. She said "Yes, dear," in that tone that somehow implies I'm being patted on the head. She was the original reader of the one story I've posted on Lit (she admired the style, didn't care for the content), so that was no big shock. I warned her that the quality of stories was highly variable, and that the poetry was generally pretty amateurish (sorry, but it really is). She has much higher literary standards than I do, and didn't doubt my assessment.

She didn't say anything about wanting to explore Literotica herself -- we both had to leave for work -- but she might end up doing so. If she does, I don't know if she'll ask me for directions or just look around on her own. In any case, I'm going to keep an eye out for oddly familiar newbies....

Oh Z. *shakes head and smiles* You mean you don't clear your history...?
Hell I do even when I'm not on Lit out of force of habit now! (Hmm...I spend too much time here)

Sympathy for your wriggling - must have been uncomfortable

Yes I did!

I thought.

I click the History icon, which brings up a sidebar, and I double click on 'Today' and select delete. No more history.

But the url bar is another matter. I could delete that, as well, but I don't type Lit's address in the url bar, so it doesn't show as one of the last 15 addresses typed in, and so I don't clear the list. Looks kind of suspicious if the thing's completely blank, y'know? The problem is, if you start to type a new url, The Evil One tries to help you by auto-completing the address from his secret list of every page you've ever visited. (It goes both ways; in addition to www.literotica, the home computer has recently visited www.llbean and www.landsend and www.talbots. Reminds my of F. Scott Fitzgerald writing his daughter: "I have paid your bill at Peck and Peck and Peck and Peck and Peck....")

*shushs BabyD and tries to look serious again for poor Z's sake*

Try this honey - once you've finished surfing, go to some innocuous site, then click 'Tools' at the top. Go to 'Options' at the bottom and select 'Privacy' in the window that opens. Press the 'Clear all' button, then 'Ok' once it's done its sweet funky.

That should shut The Evil Helpful One up.

OH, MY.

Sorry Zuke. Really. We'll play nice.

No, hang on, I guess we shouldn't play nice should we?

Um? I think I'm confused again....

I am the one who introduced my hubby to Lit. He very rarely comes to the Boards though because he says it's boring to post.

I'm getting to where I'm almost inclined to agree with him

OK....time to throw in my two cents.....

I have to agree that if I were married I don't think I would introduce my SO to lit....my ex used to come here for the stories and the pics on the boards....I actually introduced him to those....but at the time I had never been to the boards...but no....I wouldn't want him around here....its "my" place....ya know?

Mr. Zuke........shame on you......CLEAR HISTORY....then go to a few other sites and put those on there...... :D

And by the way.....thanks Zuke......you were awesome babe....just awesome...

No, I don't think I would. Things have changed so much here...I'm not really sure why I'm still here. Things have become a little to real for me and I'm letting people get to me...when I know I shouldn't.
