Would you meet someone from Lit for coffee?

I certainly would....though my preference would also be the tea. :)

Honest question here, not sarcastic. As an American I am used to seeing coffee shops everywhere, I basically live in Coffee Town USA. Do they have similar cafe style tea shops? Like a Starbucks for tea?

Haha, no, not generally, Starbucks and Cafe Nero everywhere here too :D with a limited selection of teas. I prefer the small specialist tea rooms when you can find them.

That is kind of a letdown. I was hoping there was some cool hipster tea movement over there with wifi cafes and tea baristas, baristeas?

I have and would again, whether it's coffee, tea, or a wee dram, as there are some lovely people here with whom I would enjoy spending time in person.

The beauty of the smaller tea rooms is the distinct absence of a global feel that a Starbucks cafe has. I would choose a tea room any day over a global coffee chain.

😘😘😘

There are tea places but they serve tea and tea is gross.

I’d meet anyone for a coffee and a chat. Although I’m probably much more interesting when mediated by technology.

That sounds like it would be fun, I've been to tea houses here but wasn't sure if that was just another one of our versions of things or actually based on shops elsewhere.

I love both coffee and tea, so I don't think it's gross. I'll take yours though so you don't have to!

In theory yes, Sassy, llidar, Fara and a few more lovely Lit ladies would be so much fun. In reality, I live on the other side of the planet! :D:D

Sure, there's a couple who would be great to sit down and chat with.

I do realize this is a bit biased for me, as a male, the threat of meeting a stranger is lower.

Meeting sounds like fun, especially if he or she like to post and perhaps having spend the time to chat/text about common stories the 2 parties have. Who knows if in real the conversation would be more stimulating.

From the Safety side of it. Yes, typically it is much safer to meet other women. But as someone who has met more men than women. I've met pretty much everyone in public places. Men and Women. I've never met anyone without quite a while of conversations/picture exchanges/voice/video etc.

I would never meet someone without knowing them at least a little (not days or weeks)

I've enjoyed everyone I met. I've been lucky. No one has been rude or upset that I wasn't meeting them for sex. (Okay, one was disappointed, but still not rude)

One of the last ones Disappeared after meeting me though. So, my ego is a little bruised for now.

But there are still plenty I would meet.
