Anyone watch that series "Dead Like Me"? I just caught the first episode in reruns and it seems interesting. Wondering if theseries works, or if it flops after the first few episodes?

No, its pretty good overall. Just to let you know, there's only two seasons, it was on 2003/04 I believe, used to catch it on Showcase.

I agree, truly a shame to lose 2 such great minds. What trul makes me sad is that my kids have no modern equivalent that I can think of, so these art forms may be lost to future generations.

As far as books go so far I have to that Lovecraft's Cthulu mythos is by far my all time favorite.
I would also be out of line by not mentioning that I am also a good 'ol pen and paper gamer and damn pround of it.

I loved "Dark City". seen it four times. The color, the story, the visuals got me first. If you got a thing for big mysteries and comic books, I would think you'd like it.

Anybody read "Day Of The Triffids"? I know a movie was made a long time ago, but they should make an updated version.

I read the book about 8 years ago after seeing the movie on TV. The book is so much more amazing. I wish someone would do a big expensive version of it that includes more of the sub-plots from the book.
I tried to write my own screen-play based on the book but I didn't get past page 3
