i know it's off subject but have you ever seen the episdoe of Jackass where one of them dresses up as a dragon and the other as a knight on a bicycle and they crash those fairs ... and have jousting tournaments. I personally don't like that show but when i saw that episdoe and there was a dragon chasing a knight dragging his bent bicycle and all those people at the fair looking dumbfounded ... i almost wet my pants i was laughing so hard
i've never been to a renaissance fair but when we were little, my mom took my brother to one and he got a robin hood hat, a wooden sword and shield and she bought me a princess hat. we used to play robin hood
and back to the subject of corsets --- i spent a little boredom time today to see if i could find anything regarding the twiggy lawson corset myth and got nada. i did however see some amusing pictures of 60s fashion.

Also in one of the later issues of maxim towards the front there's a picture and a small article on wenches featuring a picture of basically the president of the guild. At my faire she signed the article and auctioned the magazine off. (Bethany -the woman who does the peweter stuff- was excited becasue the president -who's name i can't remember for the life of me- was holding one of her mugs in the photo)

heh i get bruises and sprained breathing mucles. Like the next day my lower ribs, and the ribs right under the girls will be sore. Also fomr breathing differently the mucles in my mid back and diaphram will feel weird/sore.
i was looking at one of the corset traning websites mentioned by smeone else on thsi thread and the girls all mentioned how large their waist is corsetted and some of them only had one to 3 inches. I don't know if fat is squishier than internal organs but my friends once put me in a proper hip to bust corset and she got me down at LEAST 5 or 6 inches. Breathing was DEFINATELLY fun in that one.

1. Are you allowed to eat;
2. How tight is it? Sometimes it is an effort to breathe so you don't even want to go near food;
3. What is the purpose for why you have it on? I will on ocassion wear them to work. I eat a smaller meal but can eat. I have also worn them to dinner and had no problem. Of course they aren't as tight as they can be in those instances.

If the corset has its laces in properly, you can tighten it yourself, however, I was never able to get mine as tight as what my friends could do.
If you go to www.stormyleather.com they have a portion of their site that shows how to lace a corset properly. In the end you have two loop type areas right in the center that when yanked on from the bottom tighten the top, and visa versa.
If you can't find the area on the site let me know and I'll go looking.

I have six whalebone corsets in my personal collection and find that they are excellent for weight control. Sometimes my Master would have me wear nothing but the corset as it explained the craze of the hourglass shape.
It has been a year since his departure but when I wore the corset of lilac, I swore that I heard his chuckle and fingers pull the laces tighter.

I think if I were involved with a fem sub, I might view corset training in some respects as I do bondage under clothing. The restrictive nature of a corset would serve as a constant reminder of their servitude as well as add to appearances etc.
