Pandemonium challenge support thread

I literally just finished a story featuring my She-Demon character Cozbi, who I first introduced in The Devil And Angel Em, then wrote a backstory for in The Seduction Of Darkness.

The new one is a short stand alone, meaning readers won't need to have read the other two to follow the story.

Still needs some editing and tweaking before it's ready to publish though.

Cozbi is fucking hot...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Well if you're interested in reading that story, it is published now. If you haven't already of course lol

For those interested l, It's a stand alone story, no no need to read the others I've written about this character first.

Also, it's not really a sexy story. So if you're looking for erotica it's not this one.

This is more Horror Fantasy.

Just FYI

*end shameless plug*

I don't know if you're allowed to use AI even for images in your stories. Don't quote me on that. But I was thinking more of snapping photographs from some bewitching shenanigans! o_O
Aye! No AI is allowed in Lit's worlds. But real photos that you take as the owner/w permission are onboard inclusions. Of course, you can also draw original artwork; that's allowed. There are Lit guidelines about this, of course!

I may pass on this one. I have something already written, but its 84k. I have one here that's a 102k for a contest a few years back, but I don't know this is a lot.

Bumping this thread and seeking advice.

I've gone on and on about my shared universe Angels & Demons Saga with Emily Miller in this thread.

I've finally finished the third chapter in my end of the Saga and am debating whether to publish now, or wait til this event kicks off in September.

I don't know if it will be a help or hinderence, frankly.

It's part 3 of a much larger tale. As much as I wanted to write it as a stand alone tale, it's not. Which means its going to get a very limited audience unless people wanna go back and read the other stories first.

So waiting til September may just be a waste of time. The nature of it being in an event might get more eyes on it, but will they READ it?

Hell I don't think too many people will read it anyway lol. Longest, most complicated thing I've ever written and I'll be surprised if more than ten people read it.

Okay I'm exaggerating. I know I have an audience. Still, this isn't even really a sex story. There's hardly any sex at all, honestly.

Rambling I'll stop now. Just trying to decide whether to publish now or later.

Honestly? I say publish it now. If you're worried about views, you might actually suffer from putting it in the queue to be published at the start.

From what I've read here, quite a few people are working in their stories. If so, the New Stories list might be swamped with Pandemonium stories on the first day or two, and readers might be picky about which ones they read.

(And of course there's still plenty of time before the end of the challenge to write something else.)

My original idea (way back in this thread) was finish THIS story then write a stand alone for the event itself. Draw new readers with the stand alone that maybe go back and read the others.

I need a stand alone idea though. This story took me so damn long to write it's all I've been thinking about lol.

Lol. digging into that thread. Interesting idea.

I do have something that might work actually. I wrote a script for a voice actor who wanted to record it; that project is on hold unfortunately, but I'm wondering if I can rework that script into a short, stand alone story.

Hmmm...

inspiration
Hi, StillStunned. I am a very ignorant person and know nothing about devils and angels (neither in the Bible nor in Greek-Roman mythologies) however, I was very intrigued by a comic book cover I saw in a comic book store.
It was "Un/Sacred" by Mirka Andolfo, number 3 (devil in a cage) and number 4 (devil in shackles).
You can easily find the pictures of the covers on the internet.
I did not read the comics inside! I don't even know if she's really an angel, and if he's really a devil, or is just a suburban brat posing as a thug.
I don't know if it's legitimate to be inspired by the cover of a comic book. Then again, other writers have been inspired by the movie posters of "Blue Soldier" and "9 1/2 Weeks."
Here's the question. In your opinion, can I publish a short tale (it is now a half-written draft) about the perceptions of a "poor devil" (actually a common suburban sinner) who struggles around thinking about an "angelic" girl (but who is a normal flesh-and-color girl)?
I would almost be tempted (oh, the temptation!) to label it with the "Humor & Satire" category even though, as usual, it will end up in the "Fetish" category.

So after much debate I've decided to publish my newest Angels & Demons Saga chapter now (posts tomorrow) and then hopefully write something shorter and stand alone for this challenge.

Maybe something using my same characters, but written for new readers so they don't have to read past stories first.

Sure, why not? Creative interpretation is what writing is all about!

Are the guides for this on the first page? I had to read this stuff. The thread shows up in my bell icon every time someone posts in here.
Running from 1 September to 25 September. I think @Laurel will be posting an announcement on the story side one of these days.

The official announcement is up!

Throughout the history of literature, people have loved writing about temptation, and its cost. Faust and Mephistopheles: promise me your soul, and I'll give you what you want. The eternal adversaries of angels. Exotic horrors from beyond the walls of reality, reaching out with tentacles to suck - or fuck - your brains out. Or simply impish beings looking for a little fun.

Pandemonium challenges authors to write their best stories about or featuring demons. The good, the bad and the sexy. Horned and horny, tentacled and touchy, sweet, scary and seductive. Who's ready for some slaying and laying some demons?

Literally just published my latest and possibly last chapter in Emily Miller and my Angels And Demons Saga.

I'm still hoping to come up with a stand alone story for this though.

People started writing their entries in July? I finally had an idea today and started writing. I can probably get it out before September 20th though.

More to the point, or perhaps beside it, are internal demons game for this one? Folks battling alcoholism, sex as a coping mechanism, self harm, their desire for sadism, etc.

And also, is the notion of humans who are so evil they are "demons" covered, or does there have to be a supernatural element to the entries?

If the issues are anthropomorphised (or daimonomorphised, I suppose), then sure. Who's to say that addictions and other problems are manifestations of demonic temptation, after all?

On this, I'd have to say no. Unless the narrator actually believes the person is supernaturally evil.

Good luck!

So after several months spent writing the finale to my end of the Angels and Demons Saga, I thought I might be tapped out here.

But I came up with an idea last night and started writing tonight and I think it has legs.

Hey everyone! I am a little new, in fact I am a story challenge virgin, unless you count WIWAW. I am really trying to broaden my writing and thought I would throw my hat in the ring.

I have this idea. It is about an angel with a whole lot of devil inside of her. What do you all think? Does that qualify? As I am writing, I feel it does qualify as there is an exchange of a soul ... or two.

I am a bit worried of embarrassing myself with the submission in this challenge. Tell me what you think.
