Say Something

There are papers on this, believe it or not. :)....influence of domes city and local cultures etc.

Mine are Siamese, so the sound ...Siamese, or one does really. The other just squeaks mainly.

I'm not overly surprised, no.

They do tend to get the message through when needed, across any language barrier, anyway.

Here's another bump because I have a man voice and it's funny. It's not as bad now as it was in the morning, but still pretty manly. :)

Seela, I love your accent! I would not have thought you were a man had I heard you on the phone.

Naturally I hate my accent in all the foreign languages I speak, but thanks. :)

The time I was mistaken for a man by the stranger I didn't even have a sore throat so... :)

I agree. Depth is not the whole measure of masculinity. I find this voice quite warm and sexy, and strong.

I made the recording in the evening, I called my mom in the morning. Trust me, it was epic man voice. J stealthily recorded me speak yesterday morning and he's been teasing me with the recording ever since. Too bad I said things I can't share publicly, otherwise I would post that too. :)

Seela, I don't think you sound manly at all. :)

I'm back to dispatching calls to other girls again, and I've had a ton of men on the phone tell me I sound British over the last month or so. Now y'all have heard my voice. There's absolutely nothing British about it. What the hell?

Here's a bump in case some of the newer members (and Elle :)) want to participate.

5 months behind, but I wonder if there's a demand for British accents that pays? I'm told I sound, quote; "Really, really, British" by Americans.
Maybe I can find a rich and eccentric woman over there who'll pay me to recite the dictionary with a heavy British accent? :p

"Aloomineeum"
"Aubergine"
"Tomahhhto"
"Candyfloss"

I'd love to hear Con pretty please :rose: 😏

I'm just plain old American accent, nothing special there...

Voices aren't just about accent, that's just a societal influence, subject to change as influences change:) . The voice is something unique and beautiful to each person. :rose: and there is nothing uninteresting with 'plain, old' accents from anywhere. They are beautiful too, a purity of geographic expression of self . Enviable even.

Ha! My Missouri drawl is not enviable.

Enviable or not, it would be fascinating to hear both the drawl and your voice. :)

It's not a heavy drawl, but enough that a few girls at the clinic I used to work at gave me flack for it. Just harmless teasing, nothing malicious. I'm sure on here it would be more noticeable. Maybe I should read something.....

I don't think I have much of an accent, but I do have a weird mixed speech pattern. Not southern, not northern and not quite surfer dude (I guess I should use valley girl but...). I was asked if I was from Minnesota once. I guess I've got a bit of "don't cha know" going on. ;)

Nods enthusiastically. Read if that makes you comfortable.

I wrote something out to say when I did it, :)

So the only books not in my storage are what to expect when you're expecting books, veterinary text books, and The Hobbit.

And I think my reading and just talking are different. I speak clearer when I read vs just talking.

I might regret this but.....any requests?

I'm now noticing that you Americans must find it a bit odd that over here there can be a stark and noticeable difference in dialect and accent just from town-to-town, rather than state-to-state.
