I came to Lit to read the stories, then I chatted, looking for what was missing in my real life. For awhile, I was a regular in the chat room. Now I rarely go to chat due to all the drama that can occur there (ick.) I still like to hear about people's opinions, questions, declarations and musings about sex and the like, so the bulletin board is my place of choice to visit now.

My Master pointed me towards Lit when we were LDR several years ago. We would find stories we liked and link them to each other as ways to talk about this or that. It was a great way to share about ourselves and learn about each other while still feeling "safe."

A few years ago he encouraged me to write a few stories to work through some difficult moments in my past (and explain them to him at the same time). He likes the way I write, which means so much to me! He's done more reading on Lit than I have, but he's kept up the habit of sending me stories that either he especially likes or he thinks I might like (or both).

I was in the hospital two weeks ago, and a little stir crazy. I couldn't get online but I had my laptop. He gave me the assignment of writing a particular story for him, which I did. I've suddenly got the writing bug again! We're collaborating on a few, and have our own ideas for some more. I started reading more to learn what makes a good story, and finally got the nerve to submit my own first try last night. <G> Now I get to hold my breath and see if it gets accepted.

I've lurked on the forums off & on but never had the nerve to post. Dunno why, I just didn't. Since I had to register to submit my story, I figured I might as well start posting around here, too. I definitely like the broad-mindedness of so many people, and it's just plain fun to talk about my fantasies and experiences.

In The Beginning...
