Shoes are simply feet prisons! These also collect all the muck from outside and bring it into the house, which is nasty.

But, MORE IMPORTANTLY, there are sensations I can enjoy being barefoot that I simply can't enjoy with shoes. The cool tiles, a soft carpet, the feel of grass, or the sensation of the rain making a sidewalk wet. And puddles, of course. Your feet can always be washed, and they should be. Often.

It's not a question of a kink or fetish in a sexual way, for me. Not like others here who enjoy certain other types of pleasure with them.

I don't like too much on my feet but I worry outside about garden ants or sharp things hidden in the grass (had a lot of building work done)
Inside I'm either in slippers or barefoot.
