I think it can get annoying if it dominates a thread and puts others off chatting in there, but can be fun to see (and be part of).

So for me seeing other people flirting with each other and having fun on the threads makes me happy. I feel like we're all here to find someone to connect with and if they find that with each other then that's amazing.
I think it gets problematic when that behaviour takes over a shared space and makes it difficult for anyone else to post what they need to.

I'm not a natural flirt at all but I do enjoy joking around with friends but I'm always mindful not to take over anyone else's experience.

it seems similar to stories in the wrong, or, rather, incorrect, category - some things are acceptable in X, but not in Y.

I get the nudes in photo threads, but don't get them in other ones. Same as some photo threads are meant to be more 'arty'(not meaning that in a condescending way), but some just post their nudes.

I like to see flirting when it is fun and cheerful. When it moves from flirting to basically banging each other in a thread, take that shit private.

Also, when people are constantly posting vomit inducing, over the top, “I love you, sugarplum. Mwah mwah, missing you already” bullshit. That should also, IMO, be taken private

I'm a fan of public flirting - doing it and watching it. Bonus points to clever, funny, actually sexy flirting.

It just depends on the thread. If it's a structured thread with a clear purpose, it just feels a bit out of place. There is also the intention of the public flirting vs the actual result- is it a good time for everyone or are you actually making people uncomfortable?

And ultimately if your goal is to bust a nut - there are places for that and "Favorite Condiments A-Z" might not be the best place .... or hell maybe it is!

I'm just interested by what feels like an increase in people calling it out on threads where it isn't happening.

Absolutely there are threads where it just ruins them, but so does other takeover type behaviour.

And are we really saying that in general chat threads, general chat is fine, unless that general chat involves 2 (or more) people on a sex site getting each other off?
