Sassy was funny, kind, feisty, and forgiving. Her love for her family was clearly evident every time she spoke of them. Her candidness in the sharing of her health conditions and struggles showed her care and concern for those around her. She was the one who reminded me to get my mammogram on more than one occasion. Her presence here made Lit a better place.

My hope for @MRSassySheDevil, @AWonkyDonkey, and all of her family and friends is that wonderful memories of her will bring some comfort amidst the grief.

I'm afraid I have some sad news.

Just after midnight PDT, Sassy passed away with her family by her side. Of course, everyone here knows that the last couple of weeks has been extra challenging for Sassy's family and they've kept by her side as she navigated her final journey. She fought cancer with dignity and strength and did not deserve to have to endure this awful, evil disease.

@MRSassySheDevil said I should post this and he'll be along when he can.

I know Sassy meant a lot to quite a lot of people here. She was truly one of a kind and lived up to her username.

Sassy has been my best friend for the last nine years. She is - and forever will be - in my thoughts.

Rest in Peace Sassy.

I'm grateful that both Fara and myself went out to say goodbye to Sassy not long ago.

I just wish I could be with them now. If I could afford the airfare and my body wasn't deteriorating, I'd have been on a plane last week. I almost took out a credit card.
