Day 26: A song about Family from the 00s

Some times music speaks to you, some times it does the exact opposite. Either she had no clue at all, or my mum is an incredible actor. Jury's still out.

Found Bo on break.com in the 00s, kept checking back every day hoping for new uploads... then promptly forgot about him until he released what. in 2013. Gah, he's too fucking funny.

Bo Burnham - My Whole Family (thinks I'm gay)

Day 26: A song from the 00's - Family
This song reminds me of my found family
Arms wide open - Creed
High school was rough but I found my true family during those years. I chose this song not because we enjoyed it but because in the early 2000's we drove around town in my friend's old car. She had a radio and cassette player that ate tapes. This song was constantly on the radio and so it reminds me of how they pulled me out of a period of deep depresssion by forcing me to cruise with them, laugh at and sing to cheesy pop music, and feel the sunshine.

To this day when I need some happiness I drive around aimlessly with loud music blasting through the stereo.

Day 27: a song from the 2010s about friendship.
French band? Check. Named after a Goonies quote? Check. Too much punctuation in their name? Check. Greatest opening line in pop-punk history? Oh, fucking check!

"Hey dudes, are you ready to..."

I like their later stuff, but there was something about this debut that I just love.

"Hey dudes are ready to
Defend your mates in case they need you?
These ones that never pretend
And trust you until the end
These are my eternal friends"

"In Friends We Trust," Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!
