I love it when the universe conspires for me for once. Yesterday I was jumping around on the radio and hit on a country station. I don't hate country, and sometimes it fits my mood, but lately there has been little that has caught my imagination. Then I heard this song, and was actually delighted. Lyrically interesting, emotionally raw, vocally powerful...something I expected more on my playlists than in radio play.

And I thought to myself, "too bad there is never a Country day on the Challenge..."

come on now, it's definitely country...they kick you out of the academy (like taylor swift, jk she said goodbye to country music in 2015) when you stop singing country music...garth brooks changed the genre and made country music popular music...maybe that's why i enjoy so many different genres of music and different time periods...good songs are good songs, no matter how they are categorized.

ok, apparently i exaggerated and i will retract and correct...she said goodbye to country music in 2015...its why she stopped winning the awards every year...the academy didnt remove her from eligibility like i thought they did...it was always her choice, i was just making a joke. my bad.
