Day 16: A song you didn’t like when it first came out but has grown on you
I was always a massive Pogues fan but this song never did it for me until this time last year when Shane died and I started listening again.

Take my hand and dry your tears, babe
Take my hand, forget your fears, babe
There's no pain, there's no more sorrow
They're all gone, gone in the years, babe

Just wonderful

It MIGHT surprise some of you that I can be a bit contrary. I was really over grunge really fast. It hit my freshmen year of college and it was ALL anyone seemed to be playing.
I just couldn’t with Eddie at the time.

But, I mean, it’s a fantastic song. How do I not forever?

Enjoy the chaos and thank me later.
This is one of the most sensory overload, ADHD songs I have ever heard. I have it filed under webcore, but the genre stops being important after a point.
I absolutely love this song now.
I heard it the day of release, but didn't download it until 5 months later.

I was hella judgy and dubbed this the lipstick lesbian Hey Mickey anthem. Yeah- I'm an asshole.

🤣 My daughter was the same way. She mocked me for my love of her. And then like two visits was all over her because she rules.

its like a worm that eats its way into your brain and once it takes hold you submit to the insanity
Rasputin is one of my favorite bops of all time 🤣

I can't speak to whose anthem it is or isn't but I'm judgmental of any song that's too popular 😅😂 but once I listened, I understood why. It's so fun 😍

I don’t know what it was, but At a young age, I knew that disco and funk was shit. Stuff that was playing on WABC was not for me. It had zero appeal to this pot smoking 14 yo who like Black Sabbath and hung out at the town Bridge.

now I have playlists of it. Seriously, great video and song.
