Day 18: An upbeat song you danced to at a school dance

Were these guys a smash hit outside of Sweden??
I feel like they were, and if they weren't then they should've been! Any millennials around remember this from like 2001?

Cream isn't just super-cute, she has mad flow in her rap
"why you wanna come around and treat me like a pet?"
I wonder why, Cream, I wonder why...

Day 18: An upbeat song you danced to at a school dance

So I wasn't allowed to go to school dances, literally the only school thing outside of school hours in which I had any interest...Looking back I realize I was so shy that I would've probably hated them anyway but a Rihanna song might have required me to get out on the dance floor.

Day 18: An upbeat song you danced to at a school dance

Last dance of junior high. Did summon the courage to slow dance once with my three year crush. But spent most of the night with my friends. When this song came on the whole floor was yelling out the lyrics at the top of their lungs. Ohhh I miss when adults didnโ€™t pay attention to music.

You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet -Bachman Turner Overdrive

Never went to a school dance but I remember our whole class got up to dance to this at the school camp in my last year of high school. We each brought a record ( vinyl) with us to camp and this was on the compilation record that I took

Day 18: An upbeat song you danced to at a school party

I was painfully shy as a kid (I still am, in a great many ways), but I was really looking forward to my first junior high dance -- seventh grade. It was an after school mixer. Dark cafeteria. Music. That heady haze of pheromones and too much cologne. There is nothing like it, thank God. My heart pounding in my ears, this song blasting from the speakers, I asked a girl to dance. She said "no." I asked a second girl to dance. She said "no," but added a sneer. I did not ask another girl to dance until late in my college years.

"Ring My Bell," Anita Ward.

Take it down! Before she sees!
good call...though...i mean...i can think of worse things than her trying to punish me...

Sometimes I wish I could be the confident person I was in 7th grade, because I am not that way now. I was fearless. I went up to a boy I had a crush on in church and asked if he could sing because I was trying to get a little group together. He said no, so I grabbed a bucket and told him to carry a tune in it. That's how you knew I liked you; if I teased you. I don't know why we never went on a date...
