AH Roll Call

I never filled this out - shame on me.

1. A brief introduction, please.
Arienette, known to most (if not all) as Ari. 19, Scorpio, Atheist, Feminist Liberal, poet, sarcastic, blunt, bitchy, spelling/grammar Nazi.

2. What's the link to your member submissions page?

3. For which category do you most often write?
Non-Erotic Poetry

4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
I haven't exactly honed my skill/style all too much, since I've only been writing for about five years and you get better and more articulate with your writing the longer you do it. Nonetheless, I'm really loving Suburbia, it shows off my cynicism.

5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
iUniverse & West Scranton High School's Four Years to Life, Bare Back Magazine

6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
I'm not trendy enough to come up with an alt. ;)

7. Anything else you simply must add?
Nope, that about covers it.

Thanks to Abstruse for the bump. :)

1. A brief introduction, please.

My net name is AchtungNight. I am a longtime lurker on Lit who has only recently decided to melt out of the shadows. I have written crossover fanfiction in the past for Marvel, Gargoyles, Buffy, and Highlander among other things and am now turning my attention to writing in the erotic genre. I've gotten eight stories finished so far, six of which are on Lit as of this point.

2. What's the link to your member submissions page?

Check my sig.

3. For which category do you most often write?

Celebrities, aka Erotic Fanfiction. I like to envision my stories as fantasy movies or movie/TV scenes. I mostly write femslash. I have written two het tales up to this point, but only one met Lit's submission guidelines. The other can be found elsewhere. I plan to write more stories in the future, both het and femslash. All my tales contain extreme emotion, satire, lots of description, and at least one Lit page. I will take requests as long as they give me good inspiration, come with constructive feedback, and are not too gross.

4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?

Probably "Fear, Lust, and Vanity." That story was my first erotic story, also my first fanfic in a long time, and it was quite entertaining to do. It set a lot of bars for me and established many boundaries. It also taught me a few things. It's a femslash tale concerning a fantasy about the 2006 Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue cover shoot and stars Rachel McAdams, Keira Knightley, and Scarlett Johansson. There is a good plot, many comic cameos, a car chase, and of course some hot sex involved. :)

But really, it's hard to pick just one. I try my best to make all my works masterpieces. So, really, you can read any of them. I just hope you enjoy.

5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)

Yes. I originally started out posting erotic stories on a Yahoo newsgroup back in Feburary 2006. I then moved to CSSA, then with The Rendezvous (an epic femslash novella featuring four young actresses from The Upside of Anger) expanded my publishing to asstr.org, AFF.net, and Lit. I also founded my own Yahoo newsgroup, DangerousThoughts, which all my fans are welcome to join. You can find a link in my profile. You can find videogame walkthrus I've done in various places too. If you're interested in the kind of stories I used to write (heads up, they're unedited, not that erotic, and kind of out there) check out the fanfic section of gargoyles-fans.org.

6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?

I've used my real name as an Internet ID, but I don't want to post that here. Any other IDs I've used in the past I've since mostly stopped using, so I won't mention them either. I call myself a New World Man and Teller of Tales for obvious reasons. The custom title I plan to take when the time comes is Lech-Master, and I will explain the joke behind that on the proper thread when I reach 1000 posts. :)

7. Anything else you simply must add?

Uh, well, I should mention that all my stories contain lots of trivia about their subjects and homages to the things that influenced me during their writing. I also cast all my characters as celebrities or other real people, including the cameos and originals (Example- Jim Carrey, Al Pacino, and Micheal J. Fox all cameoed in Fear, Lust, and Vanity; Bob Hoskins starred in Request for Help alongside Kelli Shirley and Jessie Wallace; all the actors who played in X-Men 3 were intended to reprise their roles for X-Men 3: Additional Aftermath; etc). I and/or many of my RL friends often have cameos in my work too- I figure when you're satirizing stuff, you should be like Mel Brooks and include your own life. :) Anybody who spots such things gets a smile from me when they mention it in feedback. Anyone who's curious about anything in my stories ("why is there so much Neverwhere homage in "The Rendezvous?") can also drop me a line and get an answer on what's what.

I also want to note that I feel at home here and enjoy spending time amongst this place's inhabitants and resources very much. :D

*sigh* This thread needs an index in the first post to all the individual intro posts.

I didn't see this when I started posting, so I hope no one minds me using it now.

[1]A brief introduction, please. S-Des, 40 years old and trying to write for the first time.
[2]For which category do you most often write? Loving Wives. I'm a glutton for punishment
[3]Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style? Hero's Reward. It's a Romance story, is my highest rated and has the most votes of any of my stories. I'm very proud of that one.
[4]Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?) Not yet, unsure if I want to be. I need more practice to see if I'm good enough to attempt it.
[5]Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)? None. I have enough trouble keeping track of one.

Welcome, Des - glad to hear your information!

Looking forward to Chicago! Woo hoo!

(Any ideas when this should happen?)

A brief introduction, please.
I'm a Canadian prairie girl. I have an education degree in English and biology, but will probably never teach. I'm currently working on a 2nd degree in writing (technical and rhetoric).

For which category do you most often write?
Erotic poetry. I have 4 more pending right now, and I'm working on an incest story.

Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?

An audio poem that is still pending...

Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
My sole income is freelance writing and editing. Most of it is uncredited though.

Anything else you simply must add?
I'm just starting to do public readings. Damn it's scary!!

A brief introduction, please.
I'm a business consultant from Mississippi (the short explanation of my job is "I teach corporations how to go to war"). I've got a bunch of degrees (Psychology, Philosophy and Religion). I'm almost painfully rational and 6'6" and a pretty social fella.

For which category do you most often write?
Technically "Non-Erotic", but that was just a habit a ways back... generally, BDSM? Dunno.

Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?

Probably "Being Vocal"--its how I write. I don't write literature, I just take "things that actually happened" and write them down in a story-format--pretty cheap, really.

Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
I'm published in the Associate Press for some articles, and a couple of Philosophy journals. Nothing from the world o' erotica.

Anything else you simply must add?
Vote Republican.

1. A brief introduction, please.
Sharing4atime
I live in the mountains of California. I am retied now, but worked in the movie business for 15 years. Before that I was in Test Flight for the B-1 bomber. I also spend many years working with and teaching youth groups. I have been married for 43 years to the same sexy lady. We have a unity that is unbreakable and a sex life that in unbelievable.
I write for the enjoyment of sharing my thoughts with others. I have always been a very sexual person who also thinks out side of the box. I love the emotions of a first kiss, but beyond that, I believe every kiss should have the excitement of a "first kiss". It is not all about sex alone but the connection that makes sex good. I think honor and truthfulness are the mark of a man or a woman. I also see we all fail at times, so to be happy, we must be forgiving even when it is very painful.

3. For which category do you most often write?
Erotic Couplings

4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
Since I only have one "The Adventure"

Click for Part One - The valley

I wrote the first part 4 years ago. I just posted Part 2 "Back Home - A Broken Promise".

Click for Part 2 Back Home - A Broken Promise

I would hope my writing would have improved in 4 year. LOL

5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
No - But I have thought of writing non- fiction book.

6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
Sharing4atime says it all. We are all just passing through - so enjoy each other to the fullest.

7. Anything else you simply must add?

YES - READ MY STORIES.

Please comment - But be nice. All helpful comments are welcome.

If every new writer gets the same treatment I did, I am surprised anyone writes a second story! That is why it has been 4 years between Part 1 and Part 2.
Who likes to be slapped?
It just took the enjoyment out of writing so I stopped.

After 4 years, I felt like I should finish the story.
I hope it was not a mistake!

Madam Gigi is the main character in my humorous, historical, erotica novel that I hope will be published very soon. I have been working on this project solely for a long time, have edited it for years and think it is ready. Wish me luck!

If you are interested, check out my website for the book at;

Thanks for the roll call idea, it is great! Lots of new writers since I have been gone.

Greetings and info about me!

We've had a bunch of new faces here lately, so I thought it might be fun/cool/helpful to have a roll call. (Yeah, I swiped the idea from the poetry forum.)
