Female Lit authors: How much unsolicited sexual advances have you dealt with as a result of your writing?

For the record, all of my uncomfortable interactions came from randoms and not established members of the AH or anything.
I've often thought of creating a female alt and posting here to see who bites, then like Awkward said, I'd make it public

But I won't because I don't want to mislead the non creepy people here and in general I think its wrong to do things like that. Not everyone agrees obviously.

I haven't been here very long, but I've mostly gotten a few chat requests and hellos. Nothing inappropriate or worse than a bad pickup line at a bar.

I don't want to derail this thread. This is an important topic. Please do not continue to respond to the sex worker subject here, but anyone who wants to discuss it further can use our feedback thread.

I can only imagine what some of you ladies must deal with.

On my end, I've had a grand total of ONE person reach out to me with the interest of sexting since I've started here.

She claimed to be a woman, but obviously I had no way to verify that.

She said she wanted to sext with me because she enjoyed one of my stories. OK, cool.

I'm not really in the habit of sexting with total strangers let alone unverified total strangers.

I played along a little just to see what would happen. "She" wanted me to get her off with my words, so I ran with it a bit. Call it curiosity.

Didn't really do much for me. And no pictures or personal info was exchanged.

I'm not against online sexting/flirting/ whatever.

But obviously one must exercise caution in a forum like this.

People can pretend to be anything, anyone.

I'm more interested in just talking with friends here than any of that. It's why I don't really spend any time in the personals or other forums.

Thankfully... very little. I get lonely people, mainly men, who reach out via email trying to get me to correspond.

I feel sad for all of them. Everybody deserves to be loved and cherished.
Why do you presume they are all lonely? Some people are just talkative.

When I first started posting I got a handful of DMs from men looking for a connection. That's despite the stories being written from a male POV, and being pretty much straight-oriented. I brushed them off with a "not interested".

The really creepy one was an email I got (why does that feature exist, why should readers get to contact us at our private email addresses instead of through DM or in comments?) after I posted my first I/T story. The sender shared details of his own incestuous relationship, and was eager to share more.

You can turn this feature off if you wish.

When I first started getting messages in email, there were some I wanted to reply to (and some I didn't of course), but I didn't want anyone knowing my address. So I created a new "dedicated to LitE" account on one of the free sites, and replied from there. Eventually I switched my LitE profile so it points directly to that account.

I do like to know when a comment came in, however, so I have it send a "new mail" notification to my primary account.

I don't keep a running total from her or other sites. But it's a lot. A hole fucking lot.

I've had several PM's from young gentlemen who think I might live in Melbourne, or their profile here on Lit features a pic of a lad with very tight jeans and an awkward posture - it must be difficult to sit when their groin is conspicuously full.

They've clearly not read anything I've written. Oh wait, there's that one GM story I wrote years ago.

My dear @ElectricBlue, might it be from your avatar, they get the idea you're a girl? Of course, you do specify you're sex in your profile so probably not that!

Well I got my first request for nude photos last night as a result of my writing. I was offered a fairly high amount, but I politely declined as I refuse to be known as a woman who sells pictures of her tits online.

That led me to think about him many sexual advances I've delt with (as a direct result of my writing).

So far, I can recall roughly

1 request for nude photos.
1 uncomfortable request for "more" photos, although nudity was never specifically mentioned.
1 dick pic.
Maybe about 5-6 requests for sexual roleplay/sexting (in spite of the fact that my bio clearly states that I'm not interested in roleplay with fans).

That's honestly not that bad, considering I've been at this for a year or so.

I'm curious to know how much of this solicitation other female authors have dealt with (guys are welcome to chime in with relevant anecdote as well, I suppose).
I am male, and before I changed my location in my profile, based upon several of my essays, I had a guy pm me, asking if I would take care of his wife because she would be in my town for three days.

I did not respond, but changed my location.
