House Porn: Homes that make me wet

. . . a really terrible design for a house on a haunted lake where that young boy drowned and then saw his mother decapitated and now stalks the forest hunting down anyone who violates his woods.
Ack!

I'm glad I didn't see this before I fell asleep! There would have been no sleep! :ROFLMAO:

(But what an imagination! Let's write a horror book together. 🕶️)

Not to yuk anyone's yum, but the heating bills in those glass walled cabins would be insane. For a great view, there are doors so people can walk out to a porch or balcony. But there is a way to make a glass wall work for heating, without the view: a Trombe concrete wall set back from the glass. It's passive solar heating.

There's also geothermal 🤓

I was part of a custom build project of an A-frame style cabin. Our energy code is incredibly strict. However, triple paned windows, geothermal HVAC, as well as well as setting the hose to face slightly southwest was enough to get us to pass code. It can be done, I swear!

I so want to come visit 🤩

That is nice as well. I like places away from people where I may need to have a land line for people to get in touch with me but still refuse to get one. Lol
I like having it both ways. Being out of the way enough to have some solitude and having the ability to connect as needed. I *may* have researched what it would cost to run fiber into that property 🤭
