I’m so old I remember…

I made my sister a Dusty Bin for her birthday.
And that dirty bast'rd wants locking back up in the broom cupboard
321 was one of the first TV Quiz’s I remember. And as for the BBC… well when your childhood had Rolf Harris, Jimmy Saville, Stuart Hall and Philip Schofield, it’s a wonder not scared for life lol 😂

I’m so old that I remember going to bed with our doors unlocked.
As a kid in New Jersey, we didn't even own keys for our house! My folks always left the keys in the cars, even when driving around our little town.

Parents never had to worry about their children being out on long walks or bike rides, didn't have to know exactly where they were all the time, didn't have to worry about them being out in the evening.

Of course, no one neutered or spayed their pets...there were puppies all over town that looked like our athletic dog!

ISOIR the first televised 9 dart game of 501, which was almost as rare as hen’s teeth back then. They bang them in weekly now it seems

Yes, after my hoard of cassette tapes, which came AFTER my hoard of 8-Track tapes. 🤣
8 tracks were the worst!

I mean, technically, maybe reel to reel was even worse than that… but I don’t think anyone made cars that had reel to reel players.

but they did make 45 players for cars back in the day… here we see Muhammad Ali deciding which 45 to play…
