Helms Bakery yellow truck with the long slide out drawers, yes I remember it well. I can close my eyes and see the guy who used to drive it. We would line up for donuts, always fresh too but hell we were kids and it didn't matter.I remember the Helms Bakery truck rolling through our neighborhood - probably just a Cali thing. Sometimes my mom would send me out to get a loaf of bread for around twenty cents. I would save my paper route money for one of their huge cream puffs. It's sad that they are gone now (over in 1969).
