I am sorry if I rained on anybody's parade last night.

Things seem so much more clear by light of day


Random acts can be what helps cement things between long distance lovers. So the care package?

Great idea....and here is a suggestion. A shred of fabric from a favorite nightie, spray it very lightly with your favorite cologne. Double bag it in a zip loc bag, otherwise the entire package will smell and taste like cologne~if you are sending candy or something as well.

Miss Taken, TwoDogs... you guys have NOT put any damper on moods in this thread. There are ups and downs in every kind of relationship, and sometimes when people point out the "downers" it helps those of us currently involved in an LDR, and who might be facing similar problems.

I know it works BOTH ways, but I could use a nice "care" package myself soon!

Hey just as soon as i find someone that will let me be a small part of there life i will on top agin, but for now i'm doing ok looking after y'all trying to keep y'all happy that's what's importain now .
From what i see and read L D R touch things in a person that the people around them never see or have any clue .

MissTaken the time to post to this thread is when things aren't going right and you feel down. That's when you need it the most.

twodogs is right that's what we are here for. LDR's are a roller coaster ride till the time comes when like LTR and Tiger you are lucky enough to have it not be an LDR anymore. LTR and Tiger I wish you all the happiness in the world by the way.

We come here when things are going great but a lot of times we come here to share with others when they aren't. I have been so lucky with Classy_Lover. When we have had problems we have talked them out. That's the key to everything keep talking and tell each other everything!

Although a little faith goes a long, long way!!

Hi LadySam! Earlier on in our relationship, Oman and I were "disconnected" for four days because of my PC!! It was devastating!! (We didn't even know our last names at that point, and I worried I would never be in touch with him again!!)

Then we had weeks when I had a broken keyboard!! It was before we were miked, and I cramped up my fingers by clicking the mouse using an onscreen keyboard! The things we do for love!!

That's a great idea packing up "supplies" to send. Pictures, handwritten notes, candy, underwear(?).... things that will help him feel you are close to him, and that you can share online stories about!

Well here is something I always thought a bit weird..... ppl always dis LDR's saying "They never work out...." "They may last a few weeks or a few months but they almost always fail." Ect.... Funny that sounds like every other relationship out there.... Same odds of win or loose.... Yeah we have a few more non standard problems that "Normal" relationships don't have but man at least I have spent serious time getting to know Sam BEFORE I sleep with her.... And that means more to me then being able to pick her up for a dinner dateand such.....

It happens to them. Then they tell a different story. You do not have to be face to face for love to shine through. If the heart is open, love will find a way, no it will MAKE a way!

Odds appear to be low for ANY relationship these days. I agree so much with you, Daeth! LDRs have an "advantage" because we get to know more of each other than a lot of couples who meet in the "outside" world face-to-face!

I think one of the hardest things to an LDR is keeping it going when you're not physically together!

I also agree that you need to be "in one" to understand what we're trying to say!
