My Safe Place Thread

I thought Hrolf was an Islander, hardly from a warrior culture, although the poem does hint of heroic deeds and fetes of might. You may be thinking of the mini-series or the fictional books. The latter is a good safe-place topic, while the former is not - banned under the suggestion 6.

The other Hrolf.

But, either way, if there was a mini-series about someone named Hrolf it would seem prudent not to discuss anyone named Hrolf, nor, to be safe, anything which rhymed with Hrolf.

why didn't you say that in the first place and save me 3 typos and a misspelling?

the correct term is not oversight, which implies a fault in your being, nor misheard, which implies a mistake on my part - but rather to simply deny the statement was ever made and to destroy all copies of the offending statement.

I should never have admitted to a distraction either.

I should have said:
"We've listened carefully to your concerns and we want to thank you for bringing them to our attention. We can assure you that your voice has been heard and we share your values. We're working hard to ensure your satisfaction and we hope your future experience exceeds our expectations."

As you may, or may not recall, that's a rule I have never followed. :D

The joyful prancing fruit reminds me of youthful pursuits, lo those MANY years ago. ;)

hey yo, cunt, where the dead JEW pics

Well, that would seem safe then, so long as no one is taking photographs or playing in Australia.

But you ought to be careful mentioning kids—that's not safe talk, after all. You wouldn't want to be thrown out of your own thread. The indignity of it. You'd have to emigrate to Australia out of shame.

You're not worried about her giving the other her a stroke every hole?

The problem is that the her I play golf with is not that her, but rather is the her whose husband is going to sell his land to me or name me as his heir because I am nice to his her. I might even go 2 strokes a hole with that her if it will please her's him. My own her is too busy for strokes a hole so if I want that for anyher, it has to be this her or no her at all.

Whoaaa, momma.

That is a whole lot of "hers" to sort through.

It most certainly is not a sport the way I play the game. It is an entertainment, a comedy in either 9 or 18 acts; for both my playing partners and any gallery we manage to collect.

I want to be better than the person I play with, and last year my regular partner was really really bad, she might improve as she spent the winter taking lessons. I give her a stroke a hole, unlimited free re-hits and still usually win. We play for lunch after the round.

As long as I call it "play" golf, I think I can keep it in the fun category rather than the sports category.

I have two sports kids who cover my having to care about sports bit. It looks like little league baseball, pony club and football for him. For her it might be limited to lacrosse, field hockey, and pony club.

Limited to lacrosse! That is one tough contact sport. The whole game is high sticking. Field hockey is an international sport. Give ice hockey a try for girls.
