I'm OK apart from work stuff. Phil is on a trial after appealing against his shafting, God knows what will happen there but all will be revealed in three more weeks. Due to cuts and staff restructure yesterday we lost five staff to other satellite offices. Gutted cos two of them I'm really close to and make the days brighter. It's gonna feel weird on Monday for sure.

Other than that crap, life is good!

I'll be all good, it's just hard sometimes when I go to bed and miss cuddling. It's only been a couple of weeks and we talk all the time, but I struggle with the distance. My poor heart lol. I'm going soft. Soft for her. I just need to harden up and be patient and get on with it I think. But cuddles

Do they have heat in the houses in Oz?

I have ducted air conditioning, which is basically a heating and cooling system for my entire home that is controlled by remote. It's hidden away in the ceiling (the system, not the remote lol) so it's discreet which is nice.

This place is fairly new and stays quite cool in summer and warm in winter regardless of the aircon, but sometimes when it's extremely hot or cold I'll set it at 20 degrees celcius and leave it run. At night, around 19 for a better sleep.

You know what I would love though? A fireplace. How nice would that be? With tea tree firewood and a sheepskin rug like we have in NZ. Hang stockings at Christmas, pictures and ornaments on the mantelpiece, cook a sneaky steak on the coals late at night.

For now though, I'll use a blanket and wear a shirt. Naked plus sheet equals cold boobs.

I was wondering because there are some places in the US were it snows and people live in the ungodly cold inside during winter. I just don't understand it. I'd guess from your description that you have some sort of heat pump system which allows both heating and cooling.

We opted for no fireplace at this house just because they are so dirty and are heat wasters. The wood stove at the cabin is a wonderful thing.

Cold boobs are no good.
