Pink Orchid 2025: Story Event for Women-Centric Erotica - Official Support Thread

With kinky British scientists? Please say there’ll be kinky British scientists!!!
Your wish is my command!

Knew I'd persuade you to the kinky side eventually. Along with the readers who enjoyed my last gay sex story 'for the characters', I think I only need one more for a new toaster oven...

It's probably air fryers nowadays.

I have no idea what you’re saying, but I feel assured there’ll be kinky British scientists. Pink Orchid would be lacking without.

Very excited about this one. I only hope I can get my story done in time.

Welcome! There’s plenty of time still, which is good, because I still don’t have a story idea for this.

Did anyone use the space hippies idea from this year's event? Because otherwise you could try that.

There were indeed space hippies last year! If I remember correctly, two authors tried their hand at the extra challenge. Which doesn’t mean I shouldn’t write more, because in my experience the world of erotica could definitely use more space hippies.

Or, you know, last time, this year, whatever.

Does anyone know, if you enter both this and the seasonal contest note (in this case Valentine's Day) in the notes to admin field, will it still be counted for the contest? I've always understood you were supposed to have only the contest note in that field.

I'm assuming it's like Halloween / Amorous Goods. They can cross over, but you should add a big note to Admin.

Pink Orchid isn't a contest, so you should have no problem having it in both, assuming that both are active when you submit the story.

Exactly like @alohadave said, you can include it in both by adding both/all applicable notes to the admin box. The main difference is that in contest the story has to be one off, whereas in Pink Orchid chapters of ongoing series is okay.

Sitting watching the rain in Spain think if I should have an attempt at this one. Not done an outright gay story, first time for everything. Room for one more British Scientists story? 😀

I've had a story running around in my head for a long time, one that I've started three or four time but that never seemed to find its way. On a whim, I clicked on the link for this event, and though I've seen it before, the phrase "in which a female character has agency and makes sense on her own terms" hit a nerve that gave me an idea. By February is a short timeline for me, but thanks for the nudge.

My story will be "Daughter of the Wind". I wrote out the intro in the "What are we all writing?" thread: https://forum.literotica.com/threads/what-are-we-all-writing-right-now.1602617/post-99890622

“Dear one, you know I love you, and because I love you I have indulged you. But because I love you I should have reined you in. Even a falcon must be leashed and taught to obey its master.”

“A falcon that has a master is no true falcon!” She snatched her hand away with another toss of her long hair. “A falcon has no master but the Wind That Blows Forever.”

I am 26k words in and still have a few paragraphs to write. This is my longest story to date and fear reader boredom. I am trying to write the erotic story yet have it showcasing the success of women in their professional careers. You know the whole International Women's Day thing. I do not know how it will be received but honestly I write for my fun. I guess I just roll the dice. 🤷‍♀️

There’s never enough kinky British Scientists!

🤔😬 …well, actually… let me rephrase.

There’s never enough stories about kinky British scientists!

Yay! I’m also thinking February is a lot closer than it seems, but I’m still hopeful. I’m usually pretty quick once inspiration strikes, so I’m hoping for that.

Oo, sassy! We love sassy.

Looks like I'll have to bring back the Gold Dollar Girls.

!!!!!!!! Ooooo, I can’t wait! I love the Gold Dollar Girls. (Go read everyone.)

It’s hard to make business sexy, I’ve tried it myself. Some readers appreciate plottier stories and some don’t, but I’m hoping some appreciative ones find yours.

Now there’s inspiration for the rest of us! I have an idea for a story, so that’s better than where I was before, but I’ve yet to write a single word.
Have you considered a Writing Exercise thread? In my experience, people love to write short snippets about a theme, and quite often they turn into full stories. There's something about having a prompt and no expectations that seems to let people's imaginations take flight.

Finished mine!! For some reason I had an idea early, tinkered with it and suddenly, 12,000 words later I had it wrapped up. Usually never this early in a timeline. Next up is Summer Lovin’. 😜 😂
Please don't! I'm sure a few of us will get an inferiority complex!!o_O

I'm setting myself a little self made "competition" - see if I can get a story put together for New Years eve, based on a New Years eve party and 2025 words on the dot. I found 750 words fairly easy to do.....2025....not so easy at the mo! I'll keep plugging:eek:

The story I am currently working on could fit this contest. I'm kind of wining it this time, so I don't really how it will end up. I'll send you a draft when it's finished and you can let me know if it is suitable.
