Pink Orchid 2025: Story Event for Women-Centric Erotica - Official Support Thread

The story I am currently working on could fit this contest. I'm kind of wining it this time, so I don't really how it will end up. I'll send you a draft when it's finished and you can let me know if it is suitable.

Awesome! Send me a PM when you’re ready and we’ll work out the specifics.

Mine is thankfully finished and sent to Beta reader and another dear friend for edits.

I went on and on for this one and fully assume the responsibility of those not liking it at all … meaning its entire 34,300 words long 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s life but in truth there are three mini-stories all surrounding a new protagonist broken into three chapters.

Quick question:

Does the whole story have to be from a woman's POV? Mine alternates between a man and a woman. I still have to change it if I need to.

Happy Finnish Independence Day, people! I promise to finally start my story this weekend 😁 procrastination for teh win.

We are going to have Finish Independence Day in the US next month as well, but that's kind of different.

Yeesh, I've barely written anything since last year's entry. Writer's Block sucks (but my wife doesn't).
In particular, my "Space Hippies" story has barely gotten started.

Mine is done. Needs a little buffing and tuning but I am pleased with the underlying concept and the flow of the plot.

I've got what I think is a good idea and a good introduction written for this, I just need to put the work into finishing it...

Yay!

Well, I’ve got what I think is an idea, and I’ve yet to put down a single word 😄 so I emphasize… luckily there’s still plenty of time.

I'm posting this thread to officially kick of the "Pink Orchid 2025: Story Event for Women-Centric Erotica"

Stories are to be posted in February, and the story list will be published on the International Women's Day, March 8th of 2025.

Theme of the event: sex positivity and women as the subjects of their own lives. Women in control of their own pleasure and passion. Erotic tales where women make sense and have agency. The aim is not to turn tables and write femdom, male-bashing or revenge stories, but produce sex positive stories of women existing for their own sake and living, loving and lusting on their own terms.

This event is open for absolutely everyone. Stories are not limited by anything other than Literotica's standard rules - you can write in any category.

Rules:
1. Write a story in which a female character has agency and makes sense on her own terms.
2. Include text "PINK ORCHID" in the Note to Admin-field
3. Post your story in February 2025

That's it! Now go forth and write! If you have any comments, questions or ideas, post on this thread.

Obs! Since this is a writer's challenge and not a competition, stories can also be submitted to any and all competitions and other events with overlapping submission times. I will update this post to include links to them as they are announced. If you want to take part in other events, make sure to comply to limitations set by them, for example in competitions one has to enter a standalone story and not a chapter of ongoing series. Traditionally, Valentine's Day contest and the 750 challenge have had overlapping schedules.

I will update this post to include relevant links when available.
Oh, brilliant, I love this! I've even had a complicated idea for a story bouncing around in my head for weeks, that could be a good fit. Ugh, but that means I have to actually write the blasted thing.

Yay!

I had a good idea for your event, and was debating asking for you to review it (knowing how much you'd like to, LOL).

But I decided since it's done, I'd go ahead and publish "His Vixen". It's the MFC first person story of her growing in confidence, which I thought would more likely meet your criteria.

But I'll come up with something else to surprise you by February.

Yeah, that’s the struggle, isn’t it? I’ll send you good writing vibes. Maybe some of it will rub off on me too 😁
