Thank you again everyone...for keeping Broke in your prayers and thoughts.
I just received word that there has been no change in his condition and I will be notified when they bring him out of the paralysis for his daily command excersises. Although I won't be able to speak to him, it will be good to know when he is "awake" and not.
I received this text from one of Broke's brothers...one of the soldiers who is at Broke's side with every mission:
"......." is the best warrior in the Army ma'am. He will beat this like he beats everything else. This man does not use words like quit or defeat. ...... " This is an example of how respected and loved Broke is among his team.
From the Critical Care RN, who is my liason, "He has one of the worlds best trauman physicians taking care of him.... Everything looks great. His kidney is working well (he has a catheter in place) his heart rhythm is perfect, his bloodwork is perfect, lungs are clear, and I just changed his bandages and his wound is clean and healing well. There are now 3 of his team members here, 2 with "....." and 1 guarding the door. His men are some scary soldiers which is a good thing I think. "
Broke has always told me how much he enjoys it here at Lit...the friends he's made and the interesting private conversations he's had thru them. I know that his heart will be touched when he sees how many of you have sent your support to him.
I really can't thank you all enough.

No news tonight. Only that Broke's paralytic had to be increased a little as he was showing some agitation.
But his vitals are all still in line and good.
Your positivity and prayers continue to work their magic.

"MRI is great !! His swelling has dramatically reduced again. We are preparing now to wake him up and run him through some more advanced tests to get a solid grasp on where he is physiologically and how his nervous system reacts to different stimuli. He will be awake within the next hour."
This is such excellent news.
Thank you all....your positive prayers and his no quit attitude are all coming together.

Upon opening his eyes, he heard one of his soldiers voices and instantly tried to move his head to try to look for him. He went through the tests great. He was able to raise certain fingers to respond to different questions. He was asked several difficult questions requiring analytical and thought provoking questions and he answered quickly and correctly. He moved all extremities on command.
He is paralyzed again now and his entire team is there with him, waiting on him to be alert again.
I can only say thank you. I don't know what else to say to all of you who have been so good with your thoughts and prayers. We're not done yet. Please don't give up yet.
