This is how I know I’m not a foodie. I like and appreciate good food. Well made food. I like going to nice restaurants. I appreciate when people make nice meals for me. I will even occasionally plan and prepare nice meals for others. But it has to be FOR others.

Same for me… cooking something that turns out good occasionally gives me a little sense of accomplishment but that’s about it. (And it doesn’t usually turn out great )

When my kids finally left I stopped making 3lbs of spaghetti and garlic toast. Almost all they'd eat.


I will be cooking broccoli now and one will inevitably cruise through complaining about the smell.

Me: "That's the stuff you'd never eat. Remind me why are you still always here around dinner time?? I am finished feeding you."
