Linux. I cut my teeth on UNIX, so it wasn't a painful migration. Indeed, I discovered how much easier it is to carry out basic tasks than it ever was on Windows.

I shall endeavour to reply to all Christmas wishes in my pms tomorrow, as for now I'm speeding through whilst the carrots and parsnips are roasting, ready for this evening's Christmas meal with friends. Bottle of malbec warming nicely beside the open fire, and salted caramel cheesecake chilling nicely in the fridge. Ah, life can be sweet!

I can't believe I almost missed this!

I'm thinking I might go for a big chop too. Not my beard, that is perfection, but it's been about 6 years since my hair was about shoulder length. I might bite the bullet and get the surplus 6 inches (ish) cut off. Might.

Happy Boxing Day to all who aren't the insane ones who go out to stampede the shops for bargain sales

In our home, Boxing Day is the 100% chilled version of Christmas Day. The ultimate goal of today is to relax in any way that involves staying in pjs, and not leaving the house. To eat the chocolate received yesterday, and only do the minimum of cooking (plenty of leftovers to reheat!).

Of course, my mind is already turning towards the New Year, and how might it look. I'm not one for resolutions as such, but I do like change and challenges, so it's always the perfect time to reflect on what I'd like to achieve in the months to come.

Lit has been a bitter-sweet pill this year, and I hope that next year it will be much easier to swallow.
