Well it was nice till this f****** cold hit me...We went out on a friends boat and barbied till I gained a pound or two.. I will let Mel know about this thread...;) I better bow my head you should see me at a football game or baseball game with the mouth...:(

Sports Guys

ok. Sexy got a hold of me and told me about this thread. Sure looks like I am in the minority here. I hate the Yankees, I hate the Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins. It goes beyond hate with the GOD DAMNED BRAVES. Now that I have gotten that off my chest...

At this point I really don't think the Stanley Cup Playoffs mean much for the Eastern Conference, although it would be nice to see Carolina make it in...No one expected them to make it past the Devils. I guess if I have to pick, I would preferColorado to beat Detroit. It would just piss me off to see Scotty Bowman and that damn smug look he has winning another Cup.

As far as baseball I am a fan of the always inconsistent Mets. No laughing just yet, they are still barely hiolding on to first place :)

Looking forward to seeing some of the jabs going back and forth :)

Have a great day

Mel

You picked the Av's over the wings are you crazy man...That smug look Scotty wears has been earned....Anyway now that is off my chest I have to agree with you on all your other points ...I think I hate the Yanks more than any othewr team in sports..

Nice thread, Knight!

Running through thread, wearing my METS jacket!!:D

The Toronto/Carolina game is pretty exciting; no score after two periods!

Glad to hear you had a happy and exciting weekend, Knight!:rose:

Well geeze... dosen't everyone???? ;)

Only the true Baseball Fans. I mean I can respect what the Yankees did up until 1990, but since then they have become dominant at the expense of those teams restricted by budgets

LOL... i don't hate them for anything as reasonable as that... i just hate them... always have... I can't really fault them for using the system to the utmost.... they are a big market team, they make big money and they spend it for players... you can't really hate the Yanks and Steinbrenner for playing the system...the system stinks and needs to be changed... but they have the right to do it....I live in a big market area... our team (the Dodgers) suck... I blame that on the O'Malley family selling the franchise

You must be happy tonight, Knight!

Game 7 will be on Friday night!:D Very exciting games this post-season!

Enjoy.:rose:

Jenny how are you ..Thanks for stopping by and yes I am very happy tonight ...This series has been all that I had hoped for but I wish Toronto could of pulled it off because after we beat the Av's on friday night It would of been nice to beat Toronto for the cup...Go Wings:D :rose:

My Gosh Knight... you sound just like my sister... she said the same exact thing the other day about wanting the Wings to beat the Leafs for the cup... LOL... she's the big hockey fan in the family... I am more a pan sports nut....

So does anybody care to venture an opinion as to wheter War Emblem will win the Triple Crown? He's a great horse... no matter what you think of Baffert and Prince buying him at the last moment to run in the Kentucky Derby...

Great thread. I think this one will actually last. Now that the leafs are gone I say go Wings. I have to agree the Bills are looking good this season. By adding Bledsoe they now have a star qb. Being a Pats fan I was really upset at losing him. Lets just hope that Brady isn't a one season wonder.

I had kinda rooted for the Leafs myself (as much as a Ranger fan could root for any other team!). This post-season has certainly produced fantastic games, and all those overtimes!:D

I'm now more concerned about my favorite team's fate for next season! Rumors have it that Glen Sather will take over coaching duties himself, and it's very questionable that Mike Richter will be elsewhere! I'd rather see him be backup goaltender than to lose him altogether!

I'm not much of a football fan (preferring Giants over the Jets), yet I'm trying to get back into baseball mode rooting for the Mets, St. Louis Cards and Arizona Diamondbacks.:rose:

Rangers

Glad to find another Rangers fan Jenny. I must admit that I am not all that thrilled with the idea of Slats coaching the team. I think his best work is probably as a GM at this point in his career. Look at John Muckler. He didn't do much as a coach either. I would hope that someone would give Ted Nolan a chance, he did a fantastic job in Buffalo with a less than stellar lineup.

I would think the Rangers sign Richter to a 2 year deal, gradually decrease his playing time over the contract, and if necessary let him go after 2 years so he can try to get another Cup. I think Mike Richter is the epitome of what the Rangers are, and I don't think at this point it is worth it to let him go. It would be like Eddie Giacoman all over again. While Blackburn is a good young kid, he needs to develop. Richter han help ease him into NHL life.

Well, enough of my rambling for one morning...

Mr. Wolf perhaps you could clarify a question i have? Over here in the USA we call the game you call football soccer. So what do you call the game we call football? Do you call it American Rugby?

American Football, Rugby is a far more serious game.....lol OOps that put the cat amongst the pigeons I bet. :p

I know what you mean Jenny. There is talk here in Toronto that the Leafs won't re-sign CuJo that is a huge mistake if it happens. Our biggest problem is us the fans here. We are so loyal that the place sells out everygame. All there games are on local TV here and they are the highest rating for there time slot. So the team owners don't feel they have to spend the big money to keep our star players.

G'day guys.. can I buy anyone a beer?

Fancy a game of darts perhaps.. or pool?

Oh.. go wings..!!

Hi L.B. Give me a Bud Light and some darts because I am going to beat the pants off you :D Now how about the Wings I think they will do it ..The av's are falling apart with injuries and roy is just a little to confident and cocky for his own good..That was absolutley beautiful when he thought he had the puck and raised his glove to show us he had it what a moron...forsberg and sackic did they even show up yesterday?Oh and what was heartly's problem with Dom's stick that was one of the stupidest things I have ever witnessed in a game ...Where is that beer at :)

I know about Rugby is rougher... We get English Rugby on a few channels here... all spanish language channels to... which since I don't speak spanish makes it even more interesting....LOL

Rugby

I enjoy watching Rugby, it's just hardly ever on. I watch the soccer games on Spanish TV, it's really funny to watch, the announcers get so into it.

The Maple Leafs really need to re-sign CUJO, although Schwab, or whatever his name was, was a decent goalie.

I'm an A's fan, I hate the Yankees. Question : If you were the commissioner of baseball, what would be the first action you would take? Mine would be to ban every player on the Yankees from ever playing, and invoking a salary cap like the NFL has.
