I've had a few lucid dreams before. My favorite was dreaming I was at work and realizing it was a dream...so I stripped naked in front of dozens of other employees and customers just to prove that it actually was a dream. No one batted an eye as I stood there. I was still pretty relieved when I woke up. I mean, what if I was wrong?
I sometimes dream that I’m sleeping and then dream that I wake up. Then when I really do wake up, I’m exhausted because I actually wonder how much I slept. Woe is me!!!

You make a fair point.
Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances on why you can't just leave.
But you are right. If someone really wanted to leave, it should be just easier to just leave.

I don't understand how it is I've been on this planet for decades - thousands of thousands of days and nights - and my brain still hasn't figured out the trick to getting asleep at night. It's only something I've done 16,000 times (give or take), and each night it's like it's a brand new thing I have to work out all over again.
