I just had an hilarious conversation with a friend of mine in Italy, he speaks a little English and was hoping to visit when restrictions are lifted.

However he asked me what the English idiom "a bird in the hand is worth two birds in the bush" . . . I translated it verbatim . . . bird in Italian is uccello . . . a slang term for penis . . . he nearly choked on his morning espresso!

When he stopped laughing uncontrollably I told him in Italian the meaning of the phrase . . . he thanked me for making his morning! Wonder why?

it's kind of polite to engage with other thread users and not just focus on the ladies.

The Bank Holiday is here, take the mothballs out of your short's pockets, find the Hawaiian print short sleeve shirt, dig the flip-flops out from the bottom of the shoe rack, polish the lenses of the Ray-Bans and crack . . . the foldable umbrella open :(

Oh ye of little faith!!

So far, so warm!!

After a few days of sun we did get a little rain today which made me feel much more at home. While I enjoy the sun too much of it almost makes me forget which country I am in.

I may also have felt in the mood this morning to eat half a tub of pringles while working. I mean I do not think there are rules as to what to have as a mid morning snack but I maybe feel I went a bit overboard..

Happy Thursday everyone!
