Years ago I got together with someone I met on ICQ.. I suppose my only complaint was that she had been a bit less then honest about herself...Everything from her appearance to her views on life.... We did have one nice night together but her lies were more than I could handle for a long term relationship..

I would chance meeting someone on-line again, but would likely ask more probing questions in the future.

I met someone once from a chat room...we exchanged IM's etc...chatted some and eventually got to the point where we decided to meet. We had a really good time continuing our chatting in person, but it just wasn't there for me. I'm not sure about her, but I thought it not best to continue with it, it was just more fun across the computer.

I feel like I handled things the best way possible...had I not taken the chance to meet this person,l I would never have really known what they were truly like. I guess I'm saying I would meet someone again if I thought that there would be a chance of it being a mutually beneficial meeting, or at least to some degree.

What brought you here(question to all)...were you looking for partners? was it the stories? the chat? other reasons?

I personally enjoy the stories. I am a freelance writer of matters decidedly outside the realm of erotica, but I am a rabid consumer of most all written word that I find interest in. I suppose I am fairly interested in my own sexuality and am interested in what moves me within the parameters of these stories...there are some types that I enjoy much more than others, but I attempt to have an appreciation for most. Well, from the start I came for the stories.. But after awhile I found that most stories are just re-hashes of stories already written...Now I spend more time perusing the forums... I get a bigger kick out of reading what is going on with people lives..

Wow, it took me forever to read all of the posts on this thread. I didn't know there were so many people here from the northwest. I was wondering, with all the stories about rape or stalking that happens when people meet after talking online, isn't anyone a bit nervous about meeting people in real life? I mean, how do you know that they aren't a killer or something? Why are we here????

For me, I first came to Lit because a friend kept sending me links of stories to read. I stumbled acorss the message boards one day at work when I was bored.

I am here because of a special friend sending me a link to different stories. One of these days I will place one of my own stories, but for now, I write at least one segment to him every day.
