SweetErika said:Yes, but a lot of people are completely ignorant on most of the issues and just vote down the party line. For example, I know several NRA members who are voting Republican in the coming election because they think Bush and his cronies are more pro-Second Amendment. They're too stupid to find out that Kerry is also pro-Second Amendment and is more in-line with their beliefs on abortion, healthcare, education, and the environment. Or who would be dumb enough to vote for a guy who got into office in the first place only because he promised he'd quit after one term? AND he blatantly states one of our senators is pro-terrorism? Sorry for the rant guys...ignorance pisses me off!

Calvin said:yes.... Sweet One.... your words are very valid.... however, the real problem lies in that most presidents do not carry through and do what they say they will (with a few notable exceptions) and we have built a society that allows that sort of behavior.... not enough of us yet demand accountability..... we tolerate poor customer service from the top all the way down....
but for sure, almost anybody would be better than bush.....
SweetErika said:Well said! I think we're all guilty of having low expectations for being told the truth. Then again, Bush did follow through on his promises to screw with the environment, fuck up the education system, support religious charities, go against abortion, define "marriage", defend big corporations, get rid of the surplus, give tax cuts, and institute stupid health care savings accounts. *shudder*
Succulent-one said:SweetErika.....you are too funny.....I think I like you! Edwards rocked on the debate tonight. ~smiles~
SweetErika said:LOL Thanks for the compliment! Great minds think alike, right? Yes, Edwards certainly did a great job. I actually went to the first two caucuses this year, and he had my vote. However, taking part in the grassroots movement isn't as exciting as you'd think...this idiot at our table kept us there for over an hour debating all of the candidates EVEN THOUGH HE HAD ALREADY DECIDED TO VOTE FOR KERRY! Then he started to tell us what a bad guy Bush was...didn't occur to him that it was a DEMOCRATIC caucus and he was preaching to the choir. Geez!
At the risk of sounding like a guy, I have to say your AV is gorgeous and completely mesmorizing Succulent One!

Succulent-one said:Last Sunday afternoon, I went to listen to Jim Rassman speak. He was the guy Kerry fished out of the river in Vietnam. I had the pleasure of sitting beside him during an informal lunch. It was great to head what he had to say, and how deeply he feels about Kerry and this campaign. And this guy had been a republican for many years. I wish more people would have the opportunity to hear him speak.

SweetErika said:Yes, I've seen him on tv...where do you find out about stuff like that?
Lord, I just watched Farenheit 911. I laughed, I cried, and I got really pissed off. I certainly don't take Michael Moore's word as gospel, but the words out of the mouths of the Bush regime and everyone else on there are indisputable...scary.

Don't you just love today.....Well I guess there were no weapons of mass distruction, but it was a good thing we got rid of the guy anway......it has cost billions of dollars and many lives, plus we have distroyed a country. All for the sake of his ignorant lies. It makes me want to puke.
