I believe there is some merit in it. The whole finite number of atoms in the universe thing therefore for every extra human there is one less something else. So when we die our bodies decompose and our cells with our DNA feed other things, like flowers or grass. Then along comes a cow and eats the flower or grass and now a small part of you is in a cows stomach and is digested. The the cow is milked and maybe that piece that came from you is now in the milk, drunk by a nubile young woman who is about to go on a date with a very horny young man. And guess what....

9 months later a bastard is born and you could be a part of it.
