The War of the Worlds: The New Generation - Jeff Wayne Vinyl LP

The 2012 reboot on Sony CMG vinyl, with Liam Neeson, Gary Barlow, Joss Stone, & Ricky Wilson

Kansas - The Absence of Presence

(A new album by Kansas, released about a week ago.)

Acceleration part two

In Continuum

from the ashes of Sound of Contact comes this project. Dave Kerzner, Matt Dorsey, Marco Minnemann, Randy McStine and Gabriel Agudo with guests including Steve Hackett, John Wesley, Nick D'Virglio among others. I really enjoy both albums

Hmmm - you've piled more research on me!! :D

Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy and Randy George

brand new third album of covers by these three. After finishing the latest Neal Morse album, Morse, Portnoy and George hang around for a couple days in the studio with the recording tape going just playing old songs from their youth. Always well done and fun albums!

Lots of the original, true and only authentic Fleetwood Mac (accept no substitutes), with misty eyes on hearing of the death of Peter Green.

Genesis - Invisible Touch (album)

It may not be their best, but it has a lot of sentimental value for me. This album, "Foxtrot" and "Selling England By The Pound" are my usual Gene-go-to's.

Marianne Faithfull "Give My Love to London"

Her voice, with songs written by Steve Earle, Roger Waters, Nick Cave, The Everly Brothers, Patrick Leonard (who co-wrote with Leonard Cohen), and her own content makes for an eclectic mix.

Opeth

One of my all-time favorite bands (yes, including their earlier black-metal catalog).

I've met and socialized with Mikael Ackerfeld twice, seen them live 3 times, and enjoy pretty-much everything they've output.

Little-known fact that I learned when they were still only doing black-metal : Mikael Ackerfeld's all-time favorite band? Camel!

Unusual for an act that was considered to be pure death metal at the time.

(Besides Porcupine Tree, of course. Remember that Opeth toured with PT, and Wilson produced 3 Opeth albums.)
