What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Vince Guaraldi's The Grace Cathedral Concert

I'd been trying to listen to Mozart's Requiem Mass (K. 626) before that, but got bored. Yeah I know, how does one get bored by Mozart? But I was.

Thank you, Vince.

Been getting into some less traveled roads.

The Mag Seven
Davie Allan and The Arrows

Both are somewhere between rockabilly and old style rock and roll, lots of fuzz guitar type stuff.

Hive Riot

Sort of synth pop, sort of pop, sort of dream pop.

Bang a Gong - T-Rex

How many versions of that are there? I remember a fairly high energy version on the radio, but I found a version lately where he almost sounds asleep, or burnt out ... very low energy.

She's a Brick House - Commodores

Don't know, the one I have is the high energy one that came on a CD with a bunch of hits from that year.

Once I heard of Charles Robert Watts death, I've just doing the Stones. Listening to the stones discography right now. I listened all day yesterday, and am doing so again today. This is my normal writing music, but you have to pay your respects as best you can.

RIP Charles Robert Watts!

I thought of the John Hughes scripted movie, Some Kind of Wonderful, with a gorgeous Mary Stuart Masterson as Watts, the little drummer girl. It came out in 1987 (so before your time, Millie) as one of a cluster of well scripted teen movies - Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club.
