I rarely PM anyone anymore. Men or Women. I will reach out on occasion if something seems like we would click. But a lot of the time, I have my PMs off, with a buddy list.

I’m kinda the opposite with this. I like to take initiative sometimes with PM’ing first. It can be hit or miss but I think that can go both ways. If something starts turning creeper status, I stop, regardless of who messaged first.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised in getting PM’s from lady lurkers , on the site for literally years and never ever posting in the forums once. I totally consider that incredibly special. I also totally get it to. Some folks really enjoy reading the forums and just have no interest in participating in that manner.

I will admit there is a learning curve to the art of PM conversations. A newbie with a penis is swimming in a ocean of other penises and the fastest isn’t always the winner.

The one that is the better surfer and waits for his wave has a better chance at getting a good ride…lol

For me I'll chat with people on PM, but only if I have something to say or I think we'll get on. Some develop into something more, some fizzle quickly, a few turn sexual. But I never try to direct them, if chemistry happens great, if not so be it.

As to who makes the first move - I honestly don't think it matters. If you're one of those who has been bruised by feeling rejected, that does suck, and I'm sorry for that. But there are lots of great people out there, and you just might make their day with a simple hello.

I can only speak for myself.
Like in real life, I do make the first move - if the person intrigues me - but in a different way. It is more subtle and not a direct PM. This is just the way I like to approach things.

Granted, in RL, it's far more easier to understand people through eye contact and sneaking glances. But so far I haven't had issues in that aspect here either. Those who gets it, gets it. Those who don't, Amen.

Idk. I’ve seen far more people not naming names on NAL thread when questions are more on the personal/private level. Which is a pretty good indicator that when they do, it doesn’t mean much. But maybe In wrong.

I see it as the other way around. If someone actually names they're making a declaration. By not naming they're leaving their options open.

I think we have two different takes on it. And you might be right about it.

Maybe I see it as I would do. And it would not be a question about keeping my options open but because of privacy. I do care about that. I’m a one man woman and I want exclusivity, if I am to get involved intimately with someone (which is also the reason I don’t have anyone probably ). But I do not like PDA. Flirting in the other hand and banter, bring it on. It’s fun and harmless.
