100% agree! I've seen a dog be attacked because it was unleashed dog and has approached an anxious dog inclined to attack when approached unexpectedly. Then the owner of the unleashed dog got angry at the owner of the leashed dog even though that owner warned the owner of the unleashed dog and practically begged them to control their dog.I'm thinking that no matter how well trained your dog is PUT IT ON A FRELLING LEASH! Your dog may be the sweetest thing on 4 paws, but whomever it encounters might not be as sweet. For the safety of your pets and for the animals and people it encounters keeping it leashed means you can control your pooch quickly in case it gets attacked. For the love of the Gods, leash your pets when out of the home people!
Sorry, rant done.

This happened to me just the other day. My dog is reactive to other dogs. I was walking him and these 2 little dogs came charging off their property into the street, circling him. Now, he's a 100 pound pitbull and could have ripped their throats out if I hadn't had control of him. The owner of the other dogs called them but they didn't respond. FFS that could have ended badly. And then I got yelled at for having the "mean" dog.I'm thinking that no matter how well trained your dog is PUT IT ON A FRELLING LEASH! Good on you for having control of your good boy. Pitbulls get a bad rap. Doesn't matter the size of the dog, they need to be controlled. I have a small/medium sized dog and he is always on a leash if we are out and about. Always. This happened to me just the other day. My dog is reactive to other dogs. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. The level of entitlement from the owners of these unleashed dogs is crazyThis happened to me just the other day. My dog is reactive to other dogs.
